What ya think?
-
I want that on my car... :D

Not bad. It\'s nothing spectacular though.
Check out this box.

Check this, the ZOE box...
-
wow! that ZOE boxart is great, The GT3 one is just the same as pal gt2 boxart with a colour makeover.
Have you guys ever seen the Onimusha or bouncer boxart?
-
Jumpman has a link to a different ZOE box art!

Yeah that\'s kind of weird isn\'t it...maybe it\'s the Japanese art box that I got.
-
yeah, that japanese boxart is different But I still find the us one more pleasing
The us boxarts are always better than their japanese counterparts
-
i just relized......... what the heck does a-spec mean?
-
idunno. some car techno crap.
-
yea i would have to say that i prefer hand drawn box art than picutres
plus if you ask me that Grant turismo box art blows
it is way too plain
-
The box art for the PS2 here has been of a higher quality than what was found on the psx. Still not as good as what you can get in Japan though.
-
"a-spec" from my limited knowledge probably means "top quality specification" or something like that...i would prefer a more simulated action pic for GT3\'s box art but i won\'t complain, the game will most likely make up for a lame cover :) but i think the ZOE covers are from US / European box art, there is no Japanese wording anywhere on them to say one or the other is a Jap cover ??
-
nice, Sony should include that object for our cars... :) :)
-
i have seen a different box art for gt3 in my electronics store, it looks way better than that crappy one, it shows the hood of a car and it is all shiny it looks really nice and on the botton it says gt3 a-spec, it looks really nice i hope they come out witht hat one
-
the gt3 one is boring, but I guess it does the job,
a rally lame box art pic is SSX\'s, it sucked (the game made up for it though!)
-
I actually like the GT.2 box art it suits the game.
And the Z.O.E one is nice to (the later one posted that is)

Dang, MeTaL=DeaTh, but your member-name is a toughie to type!!!
Anyway, similar to your point, my experience is somewhat limited. However, did some poking around on the \'net for an answer. Wouldn\'t have taken the time to post on this point except that I had a hopped up Honda (I\'ll describe as "full-blown Gran Tourismo looking" -- how\'s that!?) pass me today on the interstate with a simple personalized license plate that read "J-SPEC".
With my curiosity peaked by the guy\'s plate and Deadly Hampster\'s question posed, I decided to do some searching and basically MeTal=DeaTh is correct. I\'d go one further by my investigation and say that "A-spec" refers to American cars that are "supposed to be" modified to specific specifications. The idea is that everyone is on a same (albeit high-performance) playing field and that what is left over is simply driver\'s skill that wins the race.
I would therefore deduce that "J-spec" refers to Japanese cars under similar conditions for race competition.
Anyway, now I know why the Honda had the "J-SPEC" plate! :D

UPDATE
Gran Turismo 3 has been DELAYED AGAIN !!!!
the NEW Release date is NOW - June 2, 2001 [06.02.01]
-
delayed again?? oh man,i hope that isn\'t the case,ah well guess i can\'t have my way all the time :) yeah w1ngman,that info (a-spec) i gave was basically a guess based on of all things,advertisement...

I think both of the box-arts are quite good :)
Especially the Z.O.E. one. It\'s futuristic but dark and the Z.O.E -logo is very good, yes.
The GT3 box-art is quite simple, but that doesn\'t mean it\'s dull. It suits the box well, I believe; but are those confirmed official final box-arts or just ideas?
-
Not Sure if they\'re final version. I got both of them off Amazon.com. I think the ZOE is the final version, not sure about gt3 though.
