And, Bill Gates doesn\'t actually have 50 billion dollars. He has 200 million shares of Microsoft stock, and thats multiplied by what it\'s worth. He sold a bunch of stock a few years ago, so he only has around 200 million of ACTUAL CASH. If Microsoft is broken up, the DOJ said he can\'t hold stock in both companies, so his fortune would be cut in half, and he would be about #6 on the richest men in the world list.

But, Animal is right. His son and daughter get enough so they never have to work in life.

Either way, back to the topic. Sony is richer then MS by far. They have been around longer, have more products, international sells and everything.

Impossible. His boy is maybe only 2 years old? I think he had it in \'99. His daughter isn\'t even a teenager if I remember correctly.

I remember when he lost in court and they wiped out 80 billion dollars off the stock record for Microsoft. While it was a good hunk of money the company itself is still worth way over 100 billion dollars. Sony is really wealthy themselves but nowhere near as much as Microsoft.

plus Sony has a lot of sales in the eastern part of the world where Microssoft does not

Of course having lots of money would be great at first. But important lesson is that you get used to everything. And when you get used to the large amount of cash you have... you become greedy. You just want more and more of it.
