Thanks to PS2Lair for the info...
On February 15th, 2001, The Japan version of the Ethernet Adapter for the Playstation 2 was released. You simply hook it right in to the standard usb port on your ps2, there is also a cd that comes with it, on how to install and also with a built in web browser.
(Now all you need is the Hard Drive to download on to!)
The release date for North America (US & Canada) has no been set for sure yet, but there looking at the end of March 2001.
The Product is quite cheap, right now in Japan the price is: 2,500.00 JPY, which is appox, $21.60 USD. I find that a good price for the package. Anyone with a cable modem(or any RJ45 Internet Service Device) all around the world can access it, no extra internet charges or no setup fees.

Wait? Does that mean that the Adapter does not include a hard drive? I am confused about the article.

it must just be an adaptor for ethernet only, the hard drive might just be a hard drive, either way it still a result , i only hope that the HD comes with the Adaptor as origonaly planned :D.

I hope the harddrive/adapter comes soon to the US. I can\'t wait to get online with the ps2. It will be fun playing ps2 games on the internet.
