Title: THQ brings "WWF SmackDown! 3" to PlayStation 2 this summer!

THQ announced today that they will be bringing the WWF to PS2 with their newest title, WWF SmackDown! 3, which will hit PS2 this summer. SmackDown! 3 is being developed by Yukes Co. of Japan, which is partially owned by THQ.

"Having sold well over four million World Wrestling Federation videogames to date on multiple platforms, the progression to PlayStation 2 will thrill our fans," stated Alison Locke, executive vice president, North American Publishing, THQ. "We can\'t wait to show off the look and feel of the World Wrestling Federation franchise on a system as powerful as PlayStation 2."

WWF SmackDown! 3 will now pick up where the others left off. It boasts 78 styles of matches, 35 superstars and over 1,000 different moves. There will be six-man tag-team matches and up to nine superstars can face off in the ring simultaneously. Players will be able to rush their opponent as they enter the ring, fight with their own tag team partner after a loss, and distract the referee before performing dastardly deeds. All of this comes complete with play-by-play commentary and a solid 60 frames per second!

This is awesome, as I\'ve stated before, Smackdown 3 will be unlike anything we\'ve seen before.

Yeah I cant wait. This game and Silent Hill 2 are two of the games I am looking forward to the most.

It would be kinda weird if Rock won on Sunday, because he\'d have a one month rain, because STONE COLD will destroy whoever his oponent is at Wrestlemania, and take home the title, and finally show of his smoking skull belt once again!  I wonder why kurt or the rock didn\'t get custom belts...

In my opinion what they are doing is setting The Rock up to win on Sunday only to lose it to Stone Cold on WrestleMania. Now usually I would not like this but hey, SCSA has been back for months and needs to win the title. Besides, if The Rock wins, even if its only for a month, he\'ll be the first 6 time WWF champ. :cool:



P.S. I\'m sick of SCSA. People think hes sooooo good. When his matchs usually suck and lack any real wrestling whatsoever. This is the way a usual Stone Cold match goes:

I have nothing against the man, hes actual one of my favorite wrestlers, but it annoys me that some people still consider him to be the biggest WWF superstar of all time. SCSA is old, its all about The Rock now.

This game is going to be great!  Hopefully they will spicen up the career mode a bit.  I am tired of seeing: Buba Ray and Devon look like they are up to no good!!!  They should have some voices and make the events backstage controlable.

what i want to know is..do we get to do 3D onto a table ? tag moves [not like the cheesy ones from SD2] ? i want MORE STUFF !!!!
