Those pics look really sweet... :)
I actually asked my grandfather just seconds ago about those pics that are they real or not. He wondered it a sec and then said:
"Those indeed are real pics, right?"
Well, I understand it, as my grandfather doesn\'t know anything about games. But that just means they really DO look real. Then I said they\'re pics from a certain game.
My grandfather replied:
"But how do you know if those aren\'t real pics?"
So now I and my grandfather agree that those pics are really cool :D

Anyone else find that quote hilarious? :D Anyways, sweet pics, gotta love the rain. I want to see just how much the rain effects play, but it\'s too bad there\'s no real damage on the cars... that would have been the icing on the cake although dangerously limiting the gameplay.

I didn\'t dare start a new thread, thanks to the plethora of GT3 ones already, but have you guys seen the track list already? IGN posted it today...
http://ps2.ign.com/news/31757.html
I\'m kind of happy, but sort of disappointed. I would\'ve liked to see the return of Special Stage r11 (not sure if I remember the name right, but the longer night track from GT1). What most surprises me is that they\'ve left out Laguna Seca (which is odd since the first replay videos I saw of the game were placed there)! Why?! Why!? Other discarded tracks are Grindelwald, Autumn ring, Pike\'s Peak, High Speed Ring and in the article they speak of Green Forest, where they must be meaning Deep Forest (or is the track\'s name different in different region versions??).
They do have new tracks to contemplate the losses. The most interesting of these seems to be Complex String. I\'ve got no idea what\'s it like, but get this, it\'s over 11.500 kilometres long! Whoah. A sixty lap race there might take a while. And the name promises you can\'t just put the pedal to the medal and storm through.
They also list a Test course, and claim it\'s over 10 kilometres long too, but isn\'t this like the big oval? A typo perhaps, or just a huuuuuuge test course so you can really see what speeds your vehicles are capable of.

Oh, I was just going to bed (it\'s 02:35 EST) but I had to reply to your comments! I completely disagree with the idea that a damage model would dangerously limit the gameplay, rather, it would only make the game much more realistic, challenging and rewarding.
Case in point has to be the brilliant Jarret and Labonte Racing on the PSX which has one of the best damage models I\'ve ever seen. The bottom line with the damage model is that you have to drive cautiously - rather than like a maniac bouncing off other cars like in GT. Not only does this require more skill and patience when driving, it really makes the races that much more exciting because you know any stupid mistakes can cost you the entire race. The fact that GT3 still doesn\'t have a damage model is a real disapointment, as well as being a big knock on the realism on what is, for intents and purposes, a simulation.

Hawke,
Correct me if I\'m wrong, but at IGN it says Complex String is 11659m long - wouldn\'t that be 11.659 KM long, not 11,659.00 KM?
-
I stand corrected, miniscule typo there, my sincerest apologies :)

You know. Out of all these pics. I\'ve yet to see more then 2 cars... Strange.

I can\'t wait for this game...
In Tokyo Sony made it official that Gran Turismo 3 will feature 138 licensed vehicles and 18 tracks (36 when mirrored or reversed). Among the 138 cars, the new vehicles will include Spoon S2000, Skyline VSPEC R34, and best of all a Lamborghini Diablo GT!
Waaoooooo!
