i only saw NBA live in action, so i dont know, but from what ive heard NBA live is better.....
but thats just what i heard...

yes nba live is better but it still isnt that great. If you just want a basketball game like I did get nba live but don\'t be expectiong too much.

dont buy nba live.....u\'ll be disapointed....
the control is unresponsive , keyboard , every gamepad has the same problem , even on ps2.......its ****ty......
there is also rebounding bugs, u cant get a decent rebound, ie too many off rebound for opponent
shooting stance, the legs is very weird, if u r a good bball player uknow that normally a right handed player when shooting, the right leg and right part of body is a bit lean forward for balance....every one know that but in nba live 2k1 from ea sports the left leg is always upfront when shooting...it gave an awkward feeling....
armbar on other player while their backing u got no contact btween the opponent and ur bar......
the opponnent always run the clock until last second ........frustataing

If you have a dreamcast get NBA2K1.

Imo is the best basketball game out right now.
