In what seems like overcompensation for it\'s rather diminutive launch selection, Sony Computer Entertainment America is going to explode this year with more games than you shake a stick at, count on two hands, or even imagine. SCEA, which just announced a few games, such as Dark Cloud, Ico, etc., etc., which we knew had to be coming at some time or another, has plans to publish in the US alone, more than 30 titles this year.
SCEA plans to bring 36 or so games out this year on PS2 alone, and as many as 42 by the end of the fiscal year itself. So, even if you counted up all of the SCEE titles (Wipeout Fusion, Dropship, Formula One, Drakan, The Getaway, Spin: Sprint Car Racing, etc.), plus Insomniac\'s and Naughty Dog\'s games, and the standard issue 989 Sports games, there are still as many as 20 games or so that we have no idea about, which haven\'t even been announced. Where are all these games? Sony wants to surprise you, so look for new announcements just before E3, at E3 and in the late summer.

THATS A WHOLE LOT OF GAMES!!How are they going to find all those money and time to make them?Quantity in a small period of time its difficult to deliver quality.Atleast the ones we know are very promising

SOny has more than enough money, and SOny has aquired many new studios this time around cause they know they need to pave there own may more than they did last generation, and Sony want to show that they can make some great games too. Alot of us are looking forward to a few Sony games so they are already on the right track, ATV Offroad Fury and Fantavision we\'re well received by the public even though Fantavision wasn;t much it still was praised by alot of reviewers for being a fun puzzler
The Getaway is just a huge game, 100 person development team compared to just over 30 for MGS2 tells you how big that project is, Dropship, Formula 1, Wipeout Fusion, GT3, Syphon Filter 3, Ape Escape 2, Devil and I, Phase Paradox, Extermination, Naughty Dog\'s game, Drakan (yes Drakan is being redeisigned from the ground up for the PS2 and is PS2 exclusive, and will be a different stiry line then the original PC game) should all be at the very least good games but my bet is a few of those turn out to be great. There are still approx. 15+ unknown games games. Lots of good stuff coming from Sony IMO

Looks like im gonna need to put in a whole lot of overtime at work to grab all those games :)

I though Kojima-san said they were about 60 people working on this game(maybe more I don\'t remember). He said the budget for it is about the cost of a small film. I don\'t know what would cost that much besides a large group working on it.
