Title: Discrepancy concerning MGS2

When is this game supposed to come out? I thought it was supposed to be in Q1 2001 but IGN (http://ps2.ign.com/previews/14538.html) says Fall 2001. Do they know something we don\'t(of course they do)? Do you guys think that maybe Sony is going to delay it to combat the Gamecube and/or Xbox launches? They know it is probably the most anticipated title they have and it will probably make the biggest dent on Microsoft or Nintendo\'s launch sales. Seems like good logic to me.

Maybe good logic but bad idea..  There has been way to much hype and I think It would be a bad thing..  There are many other games comming out that could influence their sales..  Now the TIME is NOW!!!

You have been grossly misinformed.  The Q3 2001 release date was established at last years E3.  Hell, why do you think ppl are so psyched about a demo coming out at the end of March?  Come on man, this game was never meant to be the title to compete with x-box\\ngc considering x-box will have an MGS of its own, but Q3 2001, coincidentally, is the earliest it can be released given the circumstances.  (Circumstances of course being that 2001 is the year of the Snake :))

I thought it was later but everyone kept saying how March was going to rock because MGS2 was coming out. I guess all of that affected my thinking. Thank you for the Dragon Uppercut upside my head. :D

MGS2 have a Fall 2001 release date.But there are rumors about a delayed.

I think it\'ll be delayed to like November. I wouldn\'t mind being wrong though...

  I kinda got use to with all the delay and stuff...that\'s what they ALWAYS do. MGS2 delay...GT3 delay...Dark Cloud delay... :crap:

march well rock i will finily play a game on my psx2. i haven\'t even played a game on it when i got it a little after launch.

i went to software etc. asked them when mgs2 was coming out, they told me christmas, theyd ont nkow sheet either man, whats way past fall! i dont believe it i dont care as long as i get my demo!

its scheduled for Fall 2001..i think i heard a rumor of it being delayed..it hasnt showed up on my release date at work yet. and as unknown has said "as long i get my demo"

we ALL do but we are going to have to wait..at least we get to play the demo when ZOE comes out

I don\'t really want to play the demo. I\'d rather wait for the full game. I know I will get pissed when I start getting into it and I can\'t finish for another 5+ months. Plus I don\'t really want Z.O.E. I am not into the "Big Robot" games.
