My personal Favorite genre is Sci-fi(so Im a dork).
My favorite series is Wheel of time.
Very deep in all ways.
Second favorite is the dragonlance series.
Just so many to read, though its starting to dry up it seems.
And my last choice would be the Xwing series.
Not even the star wars universe series, just the xwing series.
Though the hand of thrawn series was VERY good.

I like almost all genres. I guess I just like to read. i just finished "The Prince" by Machiavelli and I just started "The Republic" by Plato so I guess I\'m a geek too. :D
-
My favorite books of all time have to be:
JRR Tolkein:
Hobbit
Lord of the Rings
Philip Pullman: Trilogy
Northen lights
Subtle Knife
The Amber Spyglass
and the star wars series are cool to
Dark Apprentice
Jedi Search
Champions of the Force
oh yeah and a funny named book called Cirque de frek
about vampires
I highly recomend the Nothern lights trilogy and Hobbit series, to all.

SnowFox,
if you like the Hobbit you would probably like the wheel of time series.
You should really give it a try.
Have you seen the movie trailer for the Lord Of the Rings trilogy yet?
Its freakin awesome.
The first one comes out this Christmas.
-
all you sci-fi fans should read "Snow Crash" by Neal Stephenson. I\'m not even that big of a sci-fi fan and I gotta say it was the best book I ever read.
-
I just like every genre, like Gohan. I just finished Crime and Punishment by Dosteyovsky and I\'m not really reading anything else right now, suggestions are welcome.
If I had to pick a series that I\'ve read and enjoyed considerably I\'d probably go with James Clavell\'s Asian sagas. I liked TH Whites adaptation of King Arthur, though I\'d like to give the original by Sir Thomas Malory a shot. I\'ve heard it\'s alot more detailed, has anyone here read it? I\'d like tohear some reviews or opinions.
-
Well i am not a big reader but i go through my reading phases
i like mostly Fantasy or Medieval tales
My Favorite is Magret Weis and Tracy Hickmans\' The Death Gate Cycle...anyone else read it?
i am reading Melanie Rawns Dragon Prince - it is really good as well
-
Cheers Ill try that Wheel of time series,
Yeah the Lord of rings is amazing, cant wait
keep checking out there web site its so cool

I love Anne Rice books. My favorite series is of the Mayfair Witches. (The Witching Hour, Lasher, Taltos) I just got her latest book, Merrick, so far I\'m unimpressed, but I hope it gets better. Anne\'s books are usually slow in the beginning anyway.
Another favorite was the book, The Bone Collector. The movie sucked so much ass compared to the book.
-
The Wheel of Time rocks, even though the last 2 books have been under par.
The one I\'m reading right now is called A STORM OF SWORDS by George R R Martin. He\'s good. It\'s the 2nd book in this series of which I can\'t remember the name.
Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman are good but they only do series work that I\'ve seen (esp. DragonLance) but their best book is Legend of Huma
-
Hey Empereror,
I loved the last two, they were so dark, and that makes them cool.
I dont think the series is going to be that much longer though after all the things that happened in the last book.
My favorite has got to be....Dragon Reborn, or The fires of Heaven.
I like Path of Daggers for the battles, which he always portrays very well.
-
Faithdies, my fave was "Eye of the World". Nothing could match the excitement of Mat and Rand on the run, playing for their supper, never knowing what was going to happen next. Hell, that\'s adventure. The last 2 kind of slowed it down for me. There wasn\'t enough of the main story for me.
Fires of Heaven had a really good reflection scene in the Chapter "This Place, This Day"
Ever read "A Game of Thrones"? It\'s very good.
-
Thats what Ive heard.
I hear its a very politically oriented book.
But thats cool, cause I like the politics in Wheel of Time.
-
I\'m not big into politicking but what\'s in there is straightfoward; not like in Wheel of Time where you see a lot of back-stabbing going on. Mostly it\'s about 2 or 3 major houses and their heirs.
-
That sounds cool.
A lot of people have suggested it, but I just havent picked it up yet.
And I need a new book, because the ones I have now I have reread numerous times, including the whole WOT series.
Did you get the game?
-
No I never got the game. Just didn\'t think it would even halfway live up to it\'s reputation you know? I don\'t think a movie could be made of it either. It just wouldn\'t translate too well.
-
Ill wait and see what they do with the Hobbitt.
If they manage to do a good translation with that, then Ill give a movie about the Wheel Of Time a chance.
NBC is supposed to be making a miniseries about the first book, which should be interesting.
The game has a cult following, but I dont think they are fans of the series, just of the game.
