I really want Onimusha but i still wanna get ZOE with the MGS2 demo. Could i get the MGS2 demo with ZOE, let\'s say a month after the initial release or do i have to get it right away?
-
Onimusha all the way. I believe the demo is limited though. Find somplace that will rent the demo with ZOE and just rent it.
-
the demo is limited..you can ONLY get it when you pre-order ZOE..once the limited production is finished..you can ONLY get ZOE..so if you were to pick up ZOE after 1 month of release the copy you would be getting is ZOE by itself..no demo
my suggestion..if you want the demo really really bad..pre-order and buy that first...then 1 month later get Onimusha..but then i also suggest getting BOTH at the same time..but thats only if you have the cash like me ;)
o yea i forgot..onimusha comes out on the 15th and zoe comes out on the 28th both in March..so you have 2 weeks to get money for the ZOE
-
Onimusha is my choice but I will have them both.

I preorderd both, so I have nothing to worry about. :)

Well, this weekend if I still can I think I\'ll play it safe and pre-order them both. I would hate to miss out on either of these games for even a day.
-
ZOE all the way. You will NOT be disapointed.
This game is going to rock. Everything about it looks killer. It also has more than 3 hours of gameplay, unlike Onimusha. Don\'t get me wrong, they both look like great titles, but Onimusha is an evolution on a resident evil game, whilst ZOE is a true next gen game.
-
Well i say get ZOE first
Oumnisha will be there in a month in its entire form...while in a Month ZOE will be lacking a demo if you catch my drift

If you consider robots slapping each other a next gen idea... real original.

If your gonna think like that you might aswell classify the whole videogame industry as "un-orignal"
Theres nothing that hasn\'t been done before and don\'t bring up sequels. Like orignal story or a real orignal idea? theres nothing really that orignal out there, no that thats a bad thing. I love playing things i\'m familuar with.
-
both are great games but if I only would buy one of them... i bought Onimusha...
-
I don\'t think I\'m gonna dig Onimusha too much....so I\'m gonna buy ZOE and Black and White for the PC, now that game is going to kick ass!!!
-
wasnt that what i said Sublimesig ?
-
I would say get Onimusha first..
But ZOE looks sweet too!

Do i have to preorder ZOE to get the MGS2 demo? I\'ve heard many different reports...some saying yes, while others say no.

I still find it hard to believe that many people aren\'t excited about ZOE - the game looks beautiful and from a lot of the hands-on previews I\'ve read it sounds like a truckload of fun too. Throw in a great sci-fi storyline and you\'ve got a winner. I think it\'ll be a lot more than "robots slapping each other ".

Why is everyone saying the MGS2 demo is limited? Konami has made no such statement or press release, but only rumors circulate the information, nothing more. Konami said the game would be packaged into the box when you buy it, so you won\'t be getting an extra thing attached with it or anything. Just look at the damn box for proof:
(https://psx5central.com/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebworld.com%2Febx_assets%2Fproduct_images%2F182328.jpg&hash=1ea46e18d22572a2f77f087e2f4d79bb531e330e)
Then, if that\'s still not convincing enough, EB ALWAYS announces exclusives with pre-orders when they sell their games in order to sell more copies of the title and they ALWAYS point out limited supplies. For example, take a look at their Onimusha promo and their "free t-shirt" offer:
http://www.ebworld.com/ebx/categories/products/product.asp?pf_id=182356&mscssid=6JK484TMR7PJ8PJCRFRD9KDWE5AAFP7A&ref=1&PromoCode=
It CLEARLY says "while supplies last" under the game. Now, take a look at the ZOE offer:
http://www.ebworld.com/ebx/categories/products/product.asp?pf_id=182328&mscssid=&ref=1&PromoCode=
All it says there is this exactly:
Special Bonus: Included with your copy of Zone of the Enders is an exclusive playable demo of the highly anticipated Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty!
Wow, that sure does sound like "While supplies last" or "only available with pre-orders" or anything to that nature  I think you people have been eating the wrong information concerning the demo of MGS2. It\'s printed on the box and it will be included INSIDE it. If supplies were limited, it would be stated, end of story.
-
ryu...the t-shirt for onimusha is nothing..ALL stores are getting the t-shirt if you pre-order it even the website...if you have a copy of the US copy of the Official Playstation Magazine with ZOE on the cover..read the ZOE section..ign also reported that Konami made an announcement that MGS2 for pre-orders ONLY..

http://www.zdnet.com/gamespot/stories/news/0,10870,2681883,00.html
Confirming previous reports, Konami has announced that a Metal Gear Solid 2 demo will be included in the North American release of Zone of the Enders. The playable demo of MGS2 will be released on its own individual CD, as part of the Z.O.E. retail package. Zone of the Enders will be released on March 27 and will carry a suggested retail price of $49.99.
I don\'t see of any mention of it being limited there.
Also, accoriding to your OPM quote, it says this exactly in the mag on page 78 in the upper left hand corner:
As Clish mentioned last month, Konami decided not to package the MGS2 demo in with ZOE in the states. Thankfully, the company has opted to still offer the MGS2 DVD to buyers of ZOE, but in order to take advantage of the offer, one must pre-purchase it from retailers.
Dude, that says that the demo won\'t even be with ZOE, but the MGS2 DVD VIDEO will be instead. That source doesn\'t hold up at all in this case so sorry to bring that one down. I\'m looking for your supposed IGN quote since that\'s all you got to go on for now.
Ok, I found your IGN thing as well and it\'s pretty much the same as the Videogames.com thing. Here, let me quote them and link you:
http://ps2.ign.com/news/31037.html
Konami of America revealed today that the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty demo will be packaged inside the retail box of Zone of the Enders (Z.O.E.) for PlayStation 2 and will be on its very own disc. This is contrary to the company\'s initial announcement that it made back at Konami\'s Gamers\' Day in December 2000, when it was revealed that the demo would be made available to those who purchased Z.O.E. in a separate package.
Z.O.E. will be released on March 27, 2001 here in North America and will carry a suggested retail price of $49.99. It\'s undoubtedly one of the most highly anticipated games coming to the system this year and we expect to have further details, impressions, screenshots and movies of the game as its release date approaches.
See, no mention of it being limited to pre-orders only. Come on, people are saying it\'s limited yet no one has a source backing up their claim?
-
Bump. I want someone to prove me wrong.

Some people do the opposite, and they still fit in. Some of them are even moderators.

i would pre-order them both if you wanted them both and for the demo i think it only comes with pre orders..because thats what the manager up at babbages said..
