Title: MGS 2 is Coming in 2001!!!

Despite reports circulating the Internet Yesterday, GameWEEK.com has confirmed with a Konami representative that Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty for the PlayStation 2 will indeed ship in 2001. Various websites have stated that the game got pushed back to the first half of 2002.
The representative told GameWEEK.com that creator Hideo Kojima and his staff are currently hard at work finishing up the game, and that it will receive a simultaneous release in North America and Japan!

Now thats great news.
Its about time that the Japanease Developers give us some respect.
Though I think it has more to do with the fact that more americans are anticipating this game then the Japanease are.
Metal Gear Solid sold more over here than in Japan..FYI.

I can only hope they get David Hayter or else it will really ruin the atmosphere.

SonyWeb reported on this a few weeks ago in their interview with Hideo Kojima. Kojima said in no uncertain terms, that come hell or high water, MGS2 IS shipping in 2001 because by Japan\'s calender this is the year of the Snake. Don\'t expect it until the later part of 2001 though, since the game still needs quite a bit of work and bug testing.

I read in an OPM interview with Hideo that he said MGS was more of an American game. I\'m Canadian so anything that is American benefits me too :)

:bounce::D:bounce::D I\'m so happy...:D Even though it\'s still not until the end of the year that it\'s released, it\'s definitely not until halfway through next year...that would suck the BIG one...:(
