Title: Browser questions...
Post by: on March 02, 2001, 03:31:23 PM
There is an option in the version menu that will let you change disk speed from \'normal\' to \'fast\' and texture from \'normal\' to \'smooth\'. But after you switch your ps2 off it\'s reset to \'normal\'! is there any way to keep these settings on \'fast\' and \'smooth\'???

nope, I know I know it\'s annoying as hell, but let me give you a piece of advice, don\'t bother changing them, they do not always make that much of a difference and they cause (my) ps2 to start doing strange things. It\'s almost like there is some kind of windows virus in it cause when I for instance play ff7, it causes the game to freeze every once in a while................hhhmmmmm

btw welcome to the forums:
couple of rules:
-don\'t spam (too much)
-don\'t be a fanboy, and when you are don\'t let us know, by posting things like xbox is the best, ps2 sucks or things like that
-pay me 20$ (this one is done before, never mind)

btw is it newbie day today?, I think I welcomed a nwewbie or two already...........hhhmmmm

those settings only apply to ps1 games.
if you are going to use fast disk speed it usually will make the game freeze coz i have FF9 and it does the same thing. just use smooth textures on ps1 games. or fast disk speed if it works on that game.
