Is this game any good?  I was thinking of getting it.  :)

I rented it, it was a pretty good game....but after I beat the career mode I didn’t feel like
playing it anymore.

i personally think that gaem sucks ars man, its horrible, the characters look ok, but are 2 jaggie, when they sit down to rest, tier heads are detached from thier bodies by a thin black line, it looks like crap, its to slow, and it just not my game

ye ai have to agree - you might as well get the PSX version becasue the character models were very poorly done imo.

i thought it was the PSX version when i played it in fact - the graphics aren\'t their for being a next geb title - although i think that the gameplay and button response is very good - i have no complaints with this...so if u don\'t mind mediocre graphics then buy this game.

A few years ago, I had aspirations of becoming a boxer. But I was told my nose cartilage is too stiff and I\'d end up with too many broken noses.

The game is a simulation, not a fighting game like DOA. The fighter gets tired if you mash the buttons, he can get dazed with a lucky punch(since boxing has that inherit "puncher\'s chance") so you can\'t go in with guns blazing.

There are three types of fighters in career mode when you create a boxer : Slugger; Boxer; Freestyle.

Freestyle? That\'s someone like Ali. Not one demensional fighters like Holyfield.

I personally love this game!  After I bought it I couldn\'t put the controller down for 6 hours!  If you love watching boxing, this is the game for you.  Personally I love it.  It is so fun beating your opponent to a pulp for the first 11 rounds, then in the 12th nail him with a solid uppercut which puts him down on the canvase.
