I\'ve been interested in it since someone here on the forums mentioned something about it, and I was reading my NextGen magazine today and they had an article on it. I really like the strategy behind the Indreama L600. The console is definetly a fresh idea in the console market. The open source Linux operating system is cool, however I have little Linux experience, and the fact that they want more independent studios to release games for it should bring lots of new ideas, i think. But what do you guys think of it? DVD playback, video games, tivo, 10g hard drive, NVidia video card thats upgradable... thats impressive! I\'m never going to abandon my PS2 though, dont get me wrong. I was just curious how you guys think it will fair on the market.
Boy are there a lot of games coming out on PS2 I want... next pay check is going towards expanding my gaming library!! :)

What direction is the console headed in? I don\'t know much if anything about it, so I really don\'t have an opinion.
Are there any big name\'s developing for it? If not, are there any original and innovative games being made for it?
I\'m interested now...

Im very sorry to say..but this thing will sink like brick, its not very wel know even among the hardcore gamers

I support this system a 100%, as it is the only next generation system with a true original idea. Allowing free SDK is one of the greatest and most brave moves any company could take. Sony tested the water, but over-charged for the Net Yaroze package for the original PS, so Indreama will give those people a chance to make the games for free.
Combine that with all the extra features and an upgradable CPU and so on, and its an excellent idea.
Problem? It isn\'t a true game console in some senses. In alot of ways, it is more a mini-computer, a low end computer. Which is how it should be marketed, in which case, it could very well be a great product. But, sold as a true game console it doesn\'t stand a chance. Indreama doesn\'t have have enough third party developers, games in development or money to throw around. Really, it is a sad fact. But, maybe, we can hope, that a bigger company takes note of some of the brave innovations that INDREAMA is taking. Mainly the free SDK.
Still, I\'ll get one. But the fact is, it will fail.

http://www.indrema.com is the site, but there is no good information about its release there. At least last time I checked it a month or two ago. It is doomed to fail, but it will make a nice collector\'s item.

yea at first i thought that the Indrema might have something going but with the lack of info there really isn\'t much to think about
well it does sound very innotiative though - i will give it that - but like LIC said it is pretty much an easily portable computer... not a game console

Yeah it is. A great idea marketed wrong. If it was marketed as a user-friendly $300 dollar computer that played games, it would have a great chance of success.

Yes it sounds like it would be a good buy, but it has no backing of developers to really have a chance as console. I think as a low in mini computer it still would fail. I wish that indreama had the money to give it a full financial backing and attract some developers. It would be great to see this stand up against ps2,xbox,and gamecube. Too bad it ain\'t happenen:(

Sadly it\'s probly fail.I\'d like one though.

Indrema? Nobody seems to talk about it....I wonder if it could be the most succesful console after all?

don\'t bet on it, if somethings for sure, than it is the fact that this console is not going to dominate, because of the simple facts that the mainstream gamer (who makes the difference) a:hasn\'t heard about this console
B:he wants a console that has a lot of games on it!
C: if it isn\'t for sale in the normal stores, he wont buy it!
d: what he doesn\'t know, he\'ll never buy.

Is Indrema competing with like Tivo or PS2... it befuddles me, it plays games and acts as a system for a TV... who exactly is Indrema hoping to crush?

i heard about the system awhile ago, the guy who dreamed it up had not so high hopes for it, saying that nost people wont recognise it, but it really had great potential, i hope they make another attempt at it..
