uhh where have you been hiding ?..it all depends where you live..

if your in the US, retail price for the PS2 is $300
if you in Europe then i have no idea how much..considering i dont live in Europe

some places charge more for the PS2 because they are taking advantage of the shortage

best places to get the PS2 is EB [Electronics Boutique] or you Kay-Bee Toys, Best Buys, Toys \'R\' Us, or your local gamestore

also the best games to get or soon to get are:

Onimusha, SSX, Madden 2001, Ridge Racer V, Tekken Tag Tournament, Midnight Club, ATV Offroad Fury, Star Wars Starfighter, Ring of Red, and so MANY others..go to ign.com and check their reviews or rent them to see if you like them

Good luck if you live in California. Where I live they are still very hard to find. In fact I haven\'t seen them on store shelves yet, although I know they are at times. They are still selling out very quickly, probably the 1st day.

in Arizona, there selling like ht cakes, its really hard to find one, but the funny thing is my work gets like 30 a week or 2 now!, and we only hold them for about 1 week or less, my friend bought 5, F*CKIGN 5 OF THEM! for him and his "homies" what a great guy huh lol but $300 is the price range right now

In the U.S. all PS2\'s are around $300. Nothing really lower than that. Yes it is worth to get, stupid question if you ask me. There are several good games out to begin with. With more big name titles comming out soon like Gran Turismo 3, Dark Cloud, Silent Hill 2, and Metal Gear Solid 2 among others. Games are $50 plus tax in most places, though I have seen them new as low as $42.99 on the internet. Just look around.

yea the only way to get them is to call up somewhere near you that doesn\'t take reserves

Toys R Us/WalMart/BestBuy/CircuitCity/etc.

ask when they are getting the next shipment and hope they don\'t sell out before you get to the store

a store near me got 12 today and they were gone by 1:00pm here in houston,texas
