to bring back an old mm thread (or was it Clyde?), Go Sega!!
DC sold over 40,000 units last week after the price of a DC went down to roughly a hundred dollars. Those bastages are finally noticing (after killing it) that DC rocks! Thanks alot, jerks!
maybe Sega will see how well it sells, and produce a few, you know, extra systems.

Hopefully,
they will get a Big enough user base, where they decide to just keep making them.
Though I think they should still make games multi-platform.
That way people who never owned a sega can understand the brilliance that is a sega programmer.
I do think they produce better games than Nintendo.
I hope they do a big port campaign of old Saturn games to the playstation 2.
Like dragonforce, Panzer Dragoon Saga, SHINING FORCE 3!!! damnit.
AND ALL THE OTHER CHAPTERS!!!!!!!!
ERRRR!!!
DAMN SEGA AND SILICON KNIGHTS!
Shining Force is perhaps one of the best RPG\'s ever and they need to bring them ALL over.
Then I would be happy.

Just when they announce that they stop producing them they start selling well.

They droppped the price down to $80 and this is the was the 1st week of the price break
you have to expect quite a few people to pick up a DC for $80. Hell the Japanese will be buying 10x\'s the amount of GBA\'s @ close to $150+ and we all know the DC is better then the GBA

I wouldn\'t worry about them making new systems, with well over 3 million DC\'s in the US alone, and more brand loyalty among its core audience, if we support DC games strong, they said they\'d keep making games. Whew, talk about a run on sentence! :) Anyways, we know Sonic Team will be sticking with DC til the very end, look at PSO2, that\'s a confirmed DC game that\'ll likely come out next year. Like I said, if DC users buy enough games, Sega said they\'d support it... and I\'m sure some decent 3rd parties will stick around, like Capcom.

yea and not only are the DC hardware prices dropping but so are the software - most games have been marked down to at least 30 bucks
that is very tempting but i don\'t have the money to do it this month - maybe in the summer sometime
it is intriging though - but i doubt sega will go back to consoles - just too much risk

There are some that think this is a temporary thing, so they can explode back on the scene next gen... not me, but some do... but they pladged support to DC as long as it\'s profitable... lets keep it profitable...

how can you even say the dc rocks what games does it have that psx or ps2 answer right to the only reason i would buy a dc is so i could beat it with a baseball or lead pipe or a car etc. etc.

What an enlightening post there. Save such intelligent posts for another forum please. The best way to gain acceptance here is to be tolerant of all systems and people that like those systems.

2 bad 4 sega! :(
Im happy they make games on PS2 though!

GO GO GO sega :)
but this topic belongs in console debating!
-
we arent debating anything here, off topic if anything, but we all know Sega deserves these 40,000/week sales, and I am happy enough to post them on the main forum! Yay!

Let me see. Is the main forum of a PS2 website the best place to post SEGA news? Hmmm.... No. Off to console debating we go (I know you\'re not debating but this isn\'t PS2 related so console debated has to suffice).

For the time being, you won\'t find
Shenmue
Jet Grind Radio
Ecco
Virtual On
Sonic
Grandia 2
Skies of Arcadia
Samba De Amigo
MSR
Phantasy Star Online
Soul Calibur
on PSX or PS2.
those games are already out...here\'s some to look forward too, and some might consider picking up a DC for them.
Shenmue 2
OutTrigger
Sonic Adventure 2 (DC exclusive)
Virtua Tennis 2K2
Floigan Bros.
Ecco Online
SKies Of Arcadia 2
Ill Bleed
Jet Grind Radio 2 (DC exclusive)
Crazy Taxi 2 (DC exclusive)
PSO 2
I can tell you right now that PSX or PS2 have nothing close too Jet Grind Radio, Ecco, Skies Of Arcadia, Ill Bleed, Phantasy Star, or Sonic.
For 100$, and 30$ a game, the DC is such a steal. Just go get one dammit...

Provided you could afford a DC, a baseball bat or lead pipe or car, AFTER your Hooked On Phonics and English Doctorate course.

JGR2 wasn\'t officially announced, but mentioned by Sega as a upcoming DC game, and that japanese dude said point blank, he was making PSO2, and it\'ll be DC exclusive.
