This is the text:
*Quote* It was reported today by several sources that Virtua Fighter 4 will be heading to the Playstation 2 this fall.  However, Sega had other things on the agenda when we contacted them earlier today, stating something that effectively blew these reports right out of the water. PlaystationCenter contacted Sega\'s AM2 department today for confirmation, and were told, "We have made no such statement concerning Virtua Fighter 4 for the Playstation 2 console, and in fact the company (Sega) has far more immediate plans for the console.  We will reveal more soon, but it would be fair to say that these reports are fabricated."
What does this mean?  Your guess is as good as mine.  However, it certainly sounds as though Sega are working on far more than they let on, and the Playstation 2 could be in for a healthy dose of Sega related products in the near future.  We will have more from the company on the possibility of new titles when we interview company representatives prior to the Tokyo Game Show. *Quote end*

If this is true, then it´s a good thing for SEGA and SONY !!!

I hope Sega makes some PS2 exclusive content

We know they are working with Square and Namco and they are also teamed up with Nintendo

I really really want a non Sonic Sega platformer for the PS2 as well as a few Sega RPG\'s

AM2 department ehh?  What could those silly kids be up too?Maybe a Shenmue port?  Maybe a totally original game?

I\'m guessing it\'s going to be a port.  An original game would take a long time, Yu Suzuki is a perfectionist, it would be at least two years.  They did say immediate future.

OMG, maybe Daytona!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D :D :D :D :D

i think that, this is going to be somethig big, probably shemnue with enhanced graphics for the ps2!?, sonic with enhanced graphics for the ps2? PSO with enhanced graphics etc. and a few extras added to it will do the job, that would so kick ars man.

I am going to go ahead and doubt Sonic on PS2. remember textures, and the moving really fast would be kind of hard to do for mmediate future on PS2. Also, Sonic Team hates Sony, period.

I am also going to doubt PSO, once again ST hates sony, and Sony doesnt have an established network, in fact they dont have a network at all.

Shenmue - no. I heavily doubt this, althoguh it could be done, in a short while? Heck no! the original took 4 years to complete!

Maybe sega is helping Sony to get the ps2 broadband internet started.  I think that would be something very big for Sega to announce.

Sounds good. The more immediate thing could be the online thing going on with Sony,Sega and Namco.
