Title: Does anyone know why some JAP 15000 consoles think they 10000 in system specs?

What I mean is, some SCPH 15000 consoles come up with 10000 in that \'driver\' section of the PS2 menu.

Does this mean that some 15000 units really are 10000?

Or does this have nothing to do with hardware?

It meant that they were too lazy to go in there and change it. That\'s what I read on IGN I believe. There was a lot of confusion because the box would say 1500, but in the menu it would still say 1000. Those are all 1500\'s though.

I know, it is really strange

I have a 15000 and it thinks its a 10000, but it has the 1.1 drivers.

ANYONE WANT TO BURN ME THE 1.0 drivers?
