Konami of America today confirmed that Metel Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty for Playstation 2 will ship to retail outlets this fall....... I better go to software etc. and reserve a copy.

This game will sell the Plsystation 2 System......................

I doubt it. It is not really a killer app per se. MGS didn\'t really sell that many PSXs. I was working at EB when it came out. We had a lot of pre-orders but not many if any people bought a new PSX because of the game.

how did i alreadyknow it was going to be released in the fall??, maybe cause they said that a while ago, when i though they made a solid release date i thought, month and day, but season, oh well guess we gotta wait longer to find out, this game is gonna smack my ***** up :) prodigy

I see where you are coming from.......but there is a little differents on the two games the way it looks. :)

No one game sells the playstation brand

Its the package of games that makes the PS2 attractive.

Its these high profile games that will allow the PS2 to stand out

I a friend of mine got to see the demo for MGS2 at a video game store here. I guess it was in Japanese but he said it looked amazing. I am giddy with anticipation and I am going to pre order my copy ASAP.
