Title: Own your own HouSe..??
Post by: kirath on March 13, 2001, 06:37:57 AM
I was just curious if anyone in there owned their own house..??

When did you buy it, how much, where, do you like it, etc, etc, etc...??

Becuase I am in the process of buying my first house and I was just curious of what some other people went through and what they have...  Becuase here in New England, house prices are through the roof..  Prices and taxes here are some of the highest in the Country...  Well thats what you get for living in NewEngland...

ok then  :eyemouth:

Bought 1996.

An 8th floor department.

Two floors in the department.

Kitchen, Three bed-rooms, living-room, bath-room and Sauna.

Cost approx. 60 000 dollars ( if remember right ).

Beautiful views.

Just for the info there :)
Good luck on finding a department, Kirath, but I know you will find one... wich is not too pricy but still looks very nice and is comfy. Just pick the house you feel comfortable at.

I really can\'t help you to decide anything by the price, because I can\'t compare the prices of houses here in Finland to the houses in NewEngland.

I could have sworn that you said you were 16 years old. Oh well :D BTW, In the US it is called an Apartment. Just a little FYI.

I don\'t own a house yet. I live in a 2 bedroom 1 1/2 bathroom townhouse. With a view. I love this place but I am moving into a dorm next semester. :crying: I need to save up some chedder.

Parents bought me one in \'99, for when I do move out, and if something happens for some reason, I\'ll always have a home.

2 bath
Living Room.
Kitchen
Dining room

My sister and I bought our house off of our mother just a few months ago because we have a lot of memories and would hate to see strangers tear it up. It\'s a nice house, but needs a LOT of work.

5 bedrooms, 2 baths, Livingroom, seperate dining room, Kitchen, 2 car garage, breezeway (Like a second living room), Basement, Attic, a porch, Blockhouse, and 4 or 5 acres of land.

It cost a grand total of 65,000 but will probably end up costing us 120,000 total after renovations, repair, and landscaping. That is, if we do it all ourselves. It\'d cost much more if we were to hire someone else to do it for us.. plus they\'d do a half-assed job and whoever is still living here would have to pay them extra to come out here and fix their screwups 20 years down the line. It\'s better to just do it ourselves and do it right the first time.
