Title: I may be trading my PS2 for 6 unopened boxes of 1999 Topps Gold Label football cards.
Post by: Eaglepower on March 13, 2001, 01:02:45 PM
Just one of 1999 Topps Gold Label football card box unopened is priced at $125.00. Actually I\'ve found one for about $105.00, but no cheaper. What do you all think? I love football cards, and this guy is willing to give up six unopened boxes.

Hey if you like unopened boxes more than PS2 go ahead.

BTW, If you\'re interested I have a couple of boxes that I\'d be willing to part with. For the right price, that is. ;)

do what ever you think is best, i would never trade my ps2 for anything, but thats my opinion, on the other hand, you can trade him, have a good amount of money, have enough to buy one, and extra money, i would wait itll the upgraded ones came out.

As you ask our opinion, let me humbly represent mine:
I\'d rather not. Football cards pass by. What if those are golden? They\'re still piece of paper.

They\'re just over-priced that\'s all. And are you so sure you can get a new playstation 2 rightaway? If you can, then go ahead. :)

But I do remember when I was little, I collected Ice-hockey cards. I spent about 3 years collecting them, and I spent ALL my money into them. When I just got an opportunity, I ran to a shop and bought few booster packs. They were around 4-5 dollars each.

Eventually, I had thousands of cards, most of them completely worthless, aided with few "jewels". I never got really pricy cards, but I still loved to collect them... it was like opening a christmas-present.

Life was like a pack of cards... you never knew what you were going to get[/i]

But then I got bored, and never bought cards anymore. And those cards still are somewhere in a stash, and I still wonder what went to me and my friends and why exactly we collected those piece of papers? :)

dont be a fool, they are just pieces of paper. ps2 will give you and you friends hours of fun, how many times can you look at a card?

You obviously were never into collecting cards I guess. It can be a passion. I used to collect Baseball cards religiously but gave it up because it costs too much to get a seriously bad@ss collection.

Your collection is good for a pretty new one Deadly Hamster. I\'m talking about stuff like a George Brett rookie or on the football side of things I used to have a O.J. Simpson rookie card. Man, I remember my buddy telling me how if O.J. would have been found guilty that card would have gone through the roof! but alas, it was not to be.

where i come from (u.k) we used to collect football ( or soccer as it called in the usa) cards, they were fun when i was ten or something, but after a year they are out of date due to transfers and kit changess etc, so you have to spend more money to get the whole new set which isnt much different from the year before except some one play for another team instead of a old one. I can understand it if they are some very rear card from a player who is dead now or something, ut how many times can you look at a piece of card, while the ps2 will give you so much joy as you can interact with it and its games and actually have fun.How many times have you looked at your cards for eight hours straight...? ivee bet you do that on your computer on a regular bases:D
