Title: Escape from Monkey Island to PS2!!!
Post by: Darth Joyda on March 16, 2001, 05:50:24 AM
I can\'t express my happy feelings towards this great article I read here...

I know that I expected this; as the Lucasarts was planning a surprise release; but I thought it was just dreaming...

But it wasn\'t!

I\'m lucky not have played the game yet on PC...!!!

What do YOU think about the news?

Every MonkeyIsland fan rejoice! I hope Lucararts will include some extras onto the ps2-game, as it will be TOO short ( due to PC-reviews ), to be a 70-bucks game.

The swashbuckling Piratey Adventure will hit the PS2 this spring... ARRRRRRR...!!! :)

Games like this are just fine on my computer.  There isn\'t anything that the PS2 can do that my computer can\'t in a game like this.  Don\'t get me wrong, I think it\'s great that PS2 is getting more support, but I\'ll just play it on my ole pooter...

Enough with the ports. When is GT3 and MGS going to get here. Monkey Island is wicked old and I don\'t see myself buying it for the PS2 especially since I\'ve already got it on my PC. Plus it won\'t be the same playing it on the PS2. It might be better and it could be worse. I think lucasarts should just make a new game for the PS2.

I\'m almost done with the game for my PC. Stupid Monkey Kombat. I can\'t figure it out. Does anybody know how to do that? The whole Monkey Kombat thing I mean.

Hell yeah, I\'d buy it in a second. The MI series is great and aside from the way they made Guybrush look like a stereotyped gimp, I\'m psyced about this game. Looks like the PS2 is getting some killer "pure" adventure titles. I wonder if it would be too much to hope LucasArts puts the original MI games in with MI4 as unlockable secrets. That would be SWEET!

It takes a lot of practice. You might have to get out a pen and paper and find out what combos beat what and make yourself a chart. At least thats what I did. After about 30-45 mins of practice and perfecting my combos chart I was unbeatable.

I love that game :D
I wish they did more with the Monkey Kombat.

I have this problem now. I\'ve loaned the game for PC from a friend. Now I don\'t know what additions the PS2-version will have. If it\'ll have small additions, wich still add up to the story, I shouldn\'t play the PC-version. If it\'s, however, going to be exactly same as the PC-version, then I have no excuses NOT to play it on PC. I won\'t pay 70 bucks for small additions, you know. So, should I install the game or not? :)

Is that really what they are going to charge for this game? I payed 29 bucks where I work for this game. They better double the size of the game for 70 bucks.

Oh, just maybe they don\'t charge YOU 70 bucks, but quess who\'s gonna pay the price?

ME, and all the finns as well! Talk about bad luck.

1) We get games SO damn late they\'re old when we have our hands on them.

2) To GET our hands on them, we need to pay 70-80 DOLLARS, that\'s 350-450 fim!

Talk about pricy. Now don\'t laugh! Don\'t even add a smiley! I\'m so MAD :rpissed:
