As pointed out in the article there are good and bad things about this..but keep in mind this is just the start...can\'t wait for this to come over here in the states:D

omg, that is so gay man, i think that really sucks bad, i dontknow anyone else thaT HAS A ps2, this blows, long distance rates how pathetic, i hope they take care of this before it hits the U.S.

alright thats awful...so say I wanted to play with Samwise or Bob i\'d have to pay??

on a NOT joking level, I\'d pay to play FF11 with Bobo or play another game with Samwise but still...thats horrible...

yeah, i\'ve got broadband, too (dsl).  i think by the time the hdd/ethernet adapter comes to the US, it\'ll all be sorted out

Dial-up gaming?? I thought that died out in \'94! F*ck that, I ain\'t paying a $100 bucks for a USB modem for a game that only supports Dialup connections. Worthless, absolutely worthless.

ummm guys this is for japan, they do not have a vast internet system like we do here in the states....and this is just ONE game......by fall we should see the on-line gaming we are used to here in the states...i hope;)

Couldn\'t they just have another mode that lets you play over the internet.  I mean they could at least give you a choice, right?

Heh, this makes me appreciate what Sega has done with the DC as far as online play.

im not liking the online things for ps2...this is $100 (prolly american) and for crappy dial-up....and the HDD is goin to be only BB :( and that will prolly also cost more :(
im still on phone-line and if they make the HDD phone line compatible and not TOO expensive then ill be happy :)

Im not willing to fork out long distance charges for online play... Thats stupid as ****... Who could actually afford that?

.....Dial-up and 56k is so crappy. The cable modem is supperior,no dial-up, no waiting for ever to get somthing or downloading anything.You buy one from a electronic store,mine cost $199.99,you have cox come install it for you and it go\'s though your cable line not your phone line and you can still watch tv! It\'s like 500 times faster than 56k.

or you can just call your calbe/phone company and get the modem for free.  They are giving these modems away everywhere to get people to sign up.  At least here in Tampa that\'s the case.

But the ps2 modems can´t be connected through normal telephone line? please, can anyone explain me the kinda connection of PS2?

God i want DSL....56K sucks:(
