Title: Sony Plans XBox Emulation?

According to a printed report out of Tokyo this morning, Sony is said to be evaluating the possibility of adopting Connectix\'s PlayStation emulation software \'Virtual Game Station\' to Microsoft\'s XBox. Thereby, making the PlayStation software library available on Microsoft\'s forthcoming console. This comes on the heels of Sony\'s announcement yesterday to end their long standing legal dispute with Connectix, and work together on \'advanced emulation programs.\' Sony representatives have yet to respond to the report, we\'ll keep you posted.

Damn, surely this couldn\'t be true? but then again, i suppose it only applies to PS1 games

Sony is supposed to be ANTI piracy and they are going against that statement? What the hell are they smoking on??

It has nothing to do with piracy

It allows PS1 games to be played on anohter system

Sony gets money for every PS1 game sold

Sony was pissed off at other companies emulating there software to competitions consoles and the PC because they didn\'t get their cut. Now they are involved... Shrewd business tactic indeed

I think it\'s a good move. Sony makes more money off of PSX and Xbox gets some quality games. :laughing:
