Title: Ok....How many of these has been sold?

Just curious......:)  How many Playstation 2 has been sold in the USA and the World today?..:)

I can\'t remember the exact numbers, but it was in the news some time ago. I believe they had sold some 7-8 million at the time.

actually last i heard the number was up to 15 + million units

and if that is the case - i don\'t see what the problem is with production - there is just too much of a demand

I doubt it would be this high (there only expecting to sell 20 million or so once the Xbox and the GC comes out this fall, and its only March). At the most right now, 10-11 million (supposing that the 3 million in America and Europe thing is true, cuppled with the 4-5 million or so in Japan, not counting the slowing demand for the system since...no longer the holidays, and higher prices in Europe and lack of great games are keeping some from getting one). The last number I have heard (worldwide) is that 7-8 million figure.

15 millions? I don´t think that. About 10 millions for end of March.

It\'d probably be more if they could get the damn things out in stores. I still haven\'t got one because Wal*Mart only gets them in at the rate of about 3 per month, and the employees buy those.
