By the way, I have just enough money to go buy some milk and I wanted to let everyone know that I am going to go buy some today. Should be tasty..
Actually I need to go by Onimusha, the only thing is I tell my wife about every week, "This is the last game I want to buy until June when GT3 comes out, honestly.."

"But wait honey, that was a motor cycle game.. Now I need this space game. The people on PSX2 central say it\'s great.
"Thanks, honey.. You\'re the best. I promise this is it till June."
-One week later-
"Um, honey... THere is this really cool fighting RPG game out right now that is a must have." "Can I? Huh? Huh? Can I? Huh?"
"Honestly, this will be it till GT3!"
Thank God I bring in the cash in our family....

I feel your pain! Years ago, my wife & I first married and thought we should consider our finances separate. That worked for about the 1st 3 months (since I made more money...)... I\'ll never forget the night that it got too much for her and she came stormin\' down the hallway, mad as hell, butt-naked...[edited for content by user :nut: ]
Anyway, after that, we agreed to put our money together into a single account, pay bills out of it, save out of it, buy big ticket items (car, etc.) out of it after mutual decision, etc...., and give each other an equal allowance out of it. With that money we each have the right to do with our own $$$ however we see fit. She spends it on her horses; I spend it on my Goldwing and my gaming needs. No more rolled eyes on either side. No more arguments...NOT ONE in 12 years!!!
Marriages are quirky things...and hard to change set ways for many years. But, hey, a gamers gotta do what a gamers gotta do -- so do whatever you need to do to keep the games flowing!!! :facelick:

Here is the worst thing about all of these finance things.
When I want to buy stuff, it\'s fun stuff. HDTV, DSS receiver, Computer, PS2, etc... Fun stuff we both can enjoy.
She spends her money on clothes......
At least I spend money on fun stuff for both of us.
Chicks are boring.

This is my sad story:
I am allowed to buy any game I want, any time I want. Heck, I can spend all my money into games if I want. But the problem is, the sum of money I get each month is quite limited. I get about 30-40 dollars a month, depening much on my succession at school. And the games here cost 70-80 dollars, So I have to save rough 2-3 months before I get a new game. And yet, my money go to small things, so it\'s 3-4 months minimum. Of course I get a game at my birthday, if I want, and in Christmas, but the amount of games I get per year is about 6. It\'s quite much, but not much enough. As I\'d love to own every good game wich I face.
Mission Impossible. This time, it\'s impossible.

See, it ain\'t so easy just to go out and buy stuff, is it??
When I posted on this board and told people that my wife wouldn\'t allow me to buy a DC, everyone just said, "Just go buy it, it ain\'t that expensive!!"
HA!! Tell that to a parsimonious wife! I couldn\'t even spend 40 bucks on a gameshark, when we BOTH have decent jobs!
Anyway, sorry for the rant. I really do feel for guys with tight-wad wives. Its ok for them to get all the clothes and shoes they want but when I wanna get something for myself....NOOOO!
Putting your foot down will only work when she wants to buy something too. TRUST ME, you will never have the upper hand! :D

:crying: I know what you can do....:) You should start you on business on or off online. Yep....I did it....I use to sell small fidgurines at the flee market. I made on a slow day about $50 and on a good day $100. Well, we had about 1000 dollars extra a month to play with and spend on furniture and crap, but now with my new baby she is quitting work. That is why my budget has been smacked. Also we just got slammed by taxes. It seems my work wasn\'t taking out enough money from my paychecks and I now owe uncle sam 2,900 bucks.. So no more *****ing about 50 dollar games......

Hey videoholic you have any kids, since you are married? Just woundering cause your kids are lucky that they got a dad that likes games. My dad hates them. I don\'t blame him though cause he sucks so bad at them. He can\'t remember what the damn buttons or where they\'re at, it\'s pathetic I tell ya. Just don\'t end up like that.:D
