I bought the game for my girlfriend. I said I\'d show her how to play and 4 hours later, I was still playing. This game is sweet.
Game play is freaking new. Never played anything like it before. It\'s like a story game. No action required.
Have no idea what the game is about?
Well, the main character is murdered while taking a walk by himself at the beginning of the game, at precisely 2:30pm. He\'s sent to what looks to be purgatory and this voice offers him a chance to go back in time to prevent his death. He takes that chance. He\'s sent back at 2:00pm. Now he has to prevent his death.
How? Well...there are character walking around the village. Talk to them get them to meet somewhere at 2:30pm. Whatever it takes, you can\'t be alone. A back stabbing murderer won\'t take a chance to attack while there are people there who can stop him.
That\'s how the game is. I loved it. There are 5 endings with different paths in each, depending on how you answer questions or change the future.

man i really want to try out his game, i havent seen it in a any rental store yet, and i cant buy it caus im getting Z.O.E.
-
I\'m really thinking about getting this. But I want to beat Onimusha first.
-
probably rent it later on or come back to it during April since there\'s not alot of games I want in April
MDK2 also
-
MDK2 = definetely must-buy.
But this Shadow of Destiny sounds really interesting. I\'ve always loved puzzled adventure games, but the question goes:
Does it have the required atmosphere?
Is it too easy for an experienced adventure-gamer?
If both answers are positive, then I might re-consider buying this, definetely.
At the time, I would rent it, if it would be possible. I\'m double-checking every game before I make a decision whether to buy or not. Someone\'s money just isn\'t enough for just about one game...
You may know the feeling of when you have to choose between so many beautiful games... *sigh*
-
I love the game... I\'d recommend purchase to anyone remotely interested in adventure games.

Shadows of Destiny is an extremely great idea and pulled off for the most part excellent. Some of the game has rather dumb logic. But, for the most part Konami pulls off the time travel idea perfectly.. Still, the game is way to easy. It can be beat in alittle over 2 hours. But, so can Onimusha!
It has massive replay value for the 7 different endings and special features. I bought it a few days before Onimusha came out, and it tided me over until I got everything. Which, was the day right when Onimusha came out. Personally, in my opinion, this is the sleeper hit of the month. A game people will normally overlook and some people won\'t "get" concept wise. But, for those who do try it you will find it excellent, refreshing and original title.
By the way, did you know those lucky Japanese got a trailer of Silent Hill 2 when they beat it?
Lucky \'lil guys (and gals).
;)

Sounds cool...I\'ll make sure to check it out...:)

But the mysterious atmosphere is really good

this game rocks, especially when uou have played it a bit and you see very intresting thing like in the first chapter you watch a man juggling in a clowns suit, but later on you relise its you dressed up and gone back in time to give your self some advice. I thought there was 7 endings
-
Be careful, Kopking, it was a spoiler...
And that\'s not really it, well, anyway that\'s how I understand it :
S
P
O
I
L
E
R
The guy you saw in 1st chapter is not Eike, it\'s a real juggler !!!
Then, Eike travels back and forwards in time, and then, he\'s the juggler.
But where is the first original juggler? Ah, damn time travelling paradoxes...
-
SPOILER
There\'s only 5, my mistake. Sorry. So far, we\'ve found four different endings....with VARIATIONS leading to the ending. For example, ending B is the cut scene where Eike saves a girl from the past....and the epilogue is Eike walking off to a bar. This time, for ending B, there is a longer cut scene where Eike saves the girl AND her brother....with the same epilogue.
I love this game. Sure it\'s easy but it wasn\'t meant to be difficult, considering the gameplay. There\'s no skill involved. The game\'s ending is contingent on who you speak to, what answers you choose, where you go....things like that. The only action button is to move from one time event to another.

Oh schei***... I gotta get this game before I accidentally read any more spoilers. Everyone, PLEASE warn early if there\'s a spoiler in your post.
I love the idea of the game, and have always loved adventure-games, so this lists as a must buy in my books.
-
Well... since i don\'t buy games... i gotta go rent it... i rented onimusha and i have only gottan to the part where i play kaede..... not enough time!
i gotta give back onimusha tonight,, rent it again, beat it over spring break, give it back, and wish that hollywood video or blockbuster has shadow of destiny.

The juggler in the first chapter is you, after u watched him juggle to the fire, but dont go in, go back to the juggler and he gives you advice. this is you throwing yourself the egg thing which you collect in a later chapter, Also dont press x next to the juggler as you will die

I saw this game on a shop here - and I had a hard time deciding whether to buy this or Z.O.E. But I think I made the right decision ( like you can see from my first impressions :) ) - altho\' I know I would\'ve loved this.
I might get this game next summer - if getting extra money - as I don\'t really mind how long this game might be - and all in all - I don\'t play much per day. So this game could last a week for me ( one play trough ), but then again two months if exploring all secrets! So yes, I will get this game... someday :)

just got the game because of all ur responses , playin it later

so what do you think of it then metalgear007, if you dont like it believe me carry on playing the story line becomes more twisted than a Mcmannaman Run. I found the first few chapters very easy but the more you play the more you get sucked in
