Title: What happened to the BLUE discs?????
Post by: Gman2 on March 20, 2001, 08:16:35 AM: When the first PS2 games out they were all on the cool blue discs.
Now some of them are like silver/gold.
What gives, the blue ones were sweet.
Is it just because some of the games are on DVD?
Can\'t they make DVD games blue?

No, because of the two layers on a DVD they couldn´t be blue ! You have to read "trough" the first layer and that´s impossible with blue DVDs...

Did you go out and buy a CD with a bunch of crap animations on it. ???? Becuase everyone of your threads has them now...... Does it entertain you..???

No.....I got all the animations on the internet.....there are some [imghttp://www.skybusiness.com/dean/hot4.gif[/img]animations on the internet....I just got little over 270 now......I\'m getting more...and yes it does entertain me.....I like to make my post different.

But you have to consider...it might not with others...some people have as low as 28.8KB modems...I use to have one...I know the feeling...just cool down on you pic posting...alright??? :)

Post by: Coredweller on March 20, 2001, 04:39:32 PM: For DVD disks only, a silver appearance indicates a single layer DVD, and gold indicates a dual layer disk. Both are encoded in the DVD data density, but the dual layer disks contain roughly twice as much information. (Unless it\'s a "flipper" with silver on both sides, then I guess it would be equal.)

And I personally like the blue ones.
silver/gold is just boring.
