I have one, but it kind of sucks that I missed out on most of the good games. I wasn\'t into gaming that much, so I missed out on almost all of the great games. It\'s too bad that games like Chrono Trigger are 110 bucks USED at my local EB.
-
DOH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, I "had" one, but traded it in for my PSX. I\'ll NEVAR!! Make that mistake again.
I had all the kick a-- Rpg\'s too. Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, FF, etc.:(
-
I had one and I still do. I love my SNes, it was the best / is the best system that ever came out. I love it
I still have my NES also.. And my Sega master system. Hee hee, damn those things are old, but they were so much fun...
-
Yep I\'ve got one.Haven\'t hooked it in years though.:(
-
i\'ve got one, and i still have chrono trigger.. great game, but haven\'t played it in years

Hahaha Torgo:)
You\'re one of a FEW people I know who has an Odyssey 2 (and most of them spell it wrong).
I hooked up my O2 during Christmas because I still have it at my folks house.......God are those games awfull:( How in the world did we ever get by?!?!?!
I played that soccer/hockey game. Geeeeezzzzzz I\'ve seen ants move faster. It\'s amazing how far we\'ve come. Seeing and playing those old systems will really make one appreciate todays games (even the crappy ones).
-
Yeah, I\'ve still got my SNES too. It was a great system.
"Chrono Trigger" sells for 110 bucks used? That\'s crazy. I don\'t care if that\'s a classic game. I\'d sell my copy for that much. I\'d probably only get like 60 or 70 dollars for it but hey, that helps me out a ton.
SNES is in second place for me for greatest system of all time with the PSX with a big lead over it.
-
I have three SNES systems. Two old ones, and one of the redesigned ones. I still play them fairly often, but my NES has been getting most of the attention lately. I beat Mike Tyson\'s Punchout last night, and also beat Contra. To show you what a nut I am, off the top of my head I can tell you the code to get to Tyson:
007-373-5963
I\'ll never forget it, because I spent hours trying to beat him when I was younger. Now I can beat him in the 2nd round :)

I still have my precious Super Nintendo Entertainement System, but I haven\'t played it very much since I got my N64 and PSX.
Here\'s a funny thing- I played both Mario RPG and Zelda:Link to the Past for the first time two years after I got my N64. It was so cool. Mario RPG and Zelda were probably the most addicting games that I have ever played, and this is after I have experienced games like FF7,Goldneye,Mario, ect. SNES is the best system ever IMO.
As for my NES, don\'t really know. I had it under my desk for years and years but I don\'t know where it is know. I see if I can find it so I can play some REAL games...
Man,all this SNES talk is getting me hungry. I\'m gonna go play some Metroid...damn...SNES is unplugged. Thats just too much work for me to try and get it running again...
-
I got a SNES... but when I want old school games, I play Genesis... Genesis was my favorite...
-
Hell yah, I bet 90% of the people on this board had an SNES at one time or another. Mine is still in perfect condition with LOTS of games. I still remember paying 60 bucks for the First Street Fighter game, oh man, how sweet that day was!

Oh man, that brings back some serious memories. I used to play SF late at night when I was supposed to be in bed. I loved that game more than the snes itself. I remember when my brother knocked my first SNES on the floor while we were playing SF and I jumped up screaming and made sure my SF was not broken. Of course the SNES was broken, but my little brother had one for me to steal until I got a new one. :D
SNES and the DC are my 2 favorite consoles of all time.
SNES- Because there are so many great memories attached to it.
DC- Because it is the first console that I ever purchased for myself. Which makes me kind of hesitant to go trade it in this Friday.
-
I had a SNES and the first game I got for it was Street Fighter II.
I had to get my brother to pitch in for it. Later, I had to buy him out, but I never got rid of it.
I still have Act Raizer II, SF2 Turbo, SF2, King Arthur\'s World (Great Game!), SSF2, FF2 and 3, and I HAD Star Fox and Final Fight, Guy until I lent them to someone in college and his friend stole \'em!
Anyway, for games that I don\'t have I just (SHHH! Don\'t tell!) download the ROMs for my SNES emulator. It is just about the same.
-
everyone shouldve had an SNES at sometime or another. Otherwise, they missed out on some truly great games! Where else couldve you have played many of the Castlevanias? or Super Mario World, Final Fantasy 3, Chrono Trigger, Starfox, Doom (16 bit :)), Wolfenstein, many of the Contras, etc!

mmm\'hmm. Memories man. I was the same way. Then it was some weird dedicated quest to be the best Street Fighter 2 player possible.
If for some reason you never owned a SNES , you missed out on one of the greatest consoles ever. Its that simple.
Super Metriod.. I dug that out lastnight and played it.
Yum
:)

Yeah, I had an SNES for like 6 months. I sold it off because I didn\'t really like it all that much and I kept getting the feeling that I was cheating on my Genesis. I could almost swear it was giving me dirty looks while my back was turned.

Super Nintendo, aka Snes...
This thread is bringing back good old memories... *sigh*
But Cygnus: You\'re not the only one who has done that mistake! I friggin\' traded my Snes for PSX! And it was the best system ever...
I remember the christmas I got my Snes; how I jumped to the ceiling from joy, and shouted:
"Super Mario Nintendo!!!".
I had my Snes for 6 years, but then I sold it ( when it was still possible ), or so to say traded it to PSX. Oh my god how I\'ve been wondering why I did it... nothing that PSX wouldn\'t be a good console ( without it, I wouldn\'t have experienced the wonders of the three newest FF\'s, and so on ), but the Snes had roots on me I never imagined to exist. So it ripped me apart.
I remember playing Super Mario World until my mother told me to go to sleep, but then when I woke up, I started to play it like a madman again. I got it trough, but started to go trough again, and I was such a bit-f*cker that I needed to find EVERY secret. Then I remember my wonderous screams when I found the secret episode...
Oh and how CUTE was Yoshi :)
And games like Starfox still bring tears into my eyes... How wonderful game it was! I\'ve tried to achieve the same experience of joy trough my snes-emulator, but it just doesn\'t feel right when you don\'t have the snes-pad in your hands... *sigh*
And Super Mario Kart... I played it to death. Literally. I think it\'s most-played-game in my history. The playing-hours go far over 100 hours...
-
I\'ve got a SNES, yes... indeed.
Might I add "doh", for I ain\'t got no games for it. They\'re really hard to come by nowadays... I borrow some good oldies from a friend every now and then and have a blast, but I\'ve no games of my own.
Just a couple of days ago I found a Mario Kart box in one store, jumped for joy and tried to buy the game, just to find out the box was supposed to be thrown in the trashbin 4 years ago.
Dang.

I had an Snes but I stupidly traded it in for a Sega Saturn:(. I \'ll admit the saturn was a good system has some of the best games but I missed my snes eventually. But luckily I bought a new one last month along with Secret of Mana, Super Mario World, Super Mario All Stars and of course Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past. I was just buying a lot fo stuff that week. I even bought a Neo Geo Pocket Color just for the whole being rare thing. I even used my super gameboy on Pokemon Gold-Hey don\'t laugh I bought that game to keep me over until I got my PS2 and it\'s actually a rather addicting game. I think I\'ll go play it right now:)
-
yea i got mine still - had it forever
i got all the cool rpgs from chrono trigger/FF/secret of Mana/Secret of Evermore/Illusion of Gaia/and all the great adventure games

-
Ive still got mine. Packed up in a drawer..

Man, those were the days. Not to long ago when my old PSX died and I didn\'t have anything but my snes and genesis I went and got a bunch of games from a budget bin. If 2D would have lasted another generationwe could have seen some truely amazing things. Oh well, this is the second generation of 3D, it\'s gonna be like the nes compared to snes and it looks like 3D will be around a while longer so it\'ll get a better chance to mature unlike 2D. But I can\'t help thinking what if 2D had been around for the PSX generation, if everyone had followed Segas lead in making 2D powerhouses, hmmm.... Oh how I miss you 2D.
Any developers out their please, I love 3D but can\'t 2D and 3D happily co-exist?
-
Wow I cant believe how many people still have there SNES.. I wish I did.... CONTRA is my all time favortire and Zelda too. Mario RPG was another good one.. I love the power ranger type guys.
How could all of you forget DONKEY KONG. I used to spend all of my time playing that game... and Maximum Carnage too.
-
Heh, Donkey Kong country was truly a very good game. I remember when I sat on my room, and my father came and brought Donkey Kong Country with him - to all of my surprise! He just had bought it, all of a sudden. Thought it could be very good game. Well, the first thing that amazed us was the graphics. The best we had seen on Snes.
Soon we noticed the game is a classic. I played hours and hours until I finally beat it. Then, I started to play again, to find all secrets etc. etc. I can\'t even count how many times I played it trough ;) - the times when you were little...
What about Flashback, anyone? I owned this game, but it was my father who played it most. I just used to watch, as I found the game very interesting - \'tho quite hard for me. I remember when my father completed the game, and didn\'t want to play the game anymore. Then I started to play it - I used to just quess the passwords to get into later levels :)
