if you are good at it, it will take about 5-6 hours if you explore everything, the second time around seeing as how you know where everythig is, well lets just say i beat it in 2 hours.and 45 min., in other words, it very short, but with all the extras you need to get, mini game etc. it will take a while.

Still a masterpiece IMO,

My record time is
2:50

That is with playing through it a total of two times. The first time, when I didn\'t have a clue where anything was and was confused per say at the Water Puzzle , it took me a total of right at four hours.

So the game is so short? Well, short and short, but still? Hmmm... Be it a masterpiece or not, I need straight value for my money. I would buy Onimusha, but I will buy AC2 instead now, and then think about buying Onimusha ( when it finally arrives here ) later.

I\'m afraid that will it even come here, while you\'re afraid when the game ends! You lucky b-tards ;)

Onimusha and Shadow of Destiny are both hella short, but hella fun. Plus  trying to get all the endings is worth it because the games are both so good. I\'d recommend you get it G.

1. If I have not played a game a post is related to, I may not feel it appropriate to reply at that time -- just depends.

2. I might have flat out missed the thread & then it buries itself down in the forum.

I\'ll grant you that if two posts are fairly side-by-side, someone should be gracious enough to bow out.  It is certainly agreed that we don\'t need the forum plugged up with single replies to "multiple-same-topic" posts and I applaud your defense of keeping the forum clean.  If this double-post was a case in point, and I didn\'t notice it, then I apologize for my defense of it...but I personally didn\'t see both and am glad I had a chance to reply to this one as it got out to the members a little more appreciation of my "gaming character makeup".

:D I\'ll leave this reply stand, but I believe I better understand L-I-C\'s point about double-post...you are indicating that someone had POSTED twice to this thread I bet, huh...my bad.  But I\'ll leave my post above anyway cuz I know sometimes folks bash multiple *threads* related to same topic and that was my intended defense.  Sorry Living-In-Clip!!!

Eh? I\'m totally confused man.
I wasn\'t bashing you at all. My PC frooze when I hit REPLY, I  hit it again, like a dummie, and then it double posted! Had nothing to do with you.;)

Hope that clears everything up.
Wasn\'t meant to be rude or anything. Was me being a dummie and double posting the same message on accident.

The first time I played Onimusha it took me 8:55.
I think thats a pretty good game length.
I also would have played longer, but I wanted to end the game and I was running out of herbs and stuff.
I was just running around killing stuff and having
fun.
At one point, I had 30000 souls just in my gauntlet, because I had leveled everything up.

Hehe... I know what you mean... I haven\'t purchased the game as of yet but im like that with other games. I remember paying about £30 for Resident Evil 2 and completing it in just under 2 days. I was a bit mad at first but then i played the second mission (which is basically reply value and not much new) i enjoyed it a lot. Basically i think onimusha will give a few plays through, but hopefully will be pure fun along the way.

I hear its like a fast paced Resident Evil with swords and shiz. Sounds fun...

It\'s taken some of you 8+ hours to beat it??? Damnnnn... I beat both Onimusha and Shadows together in less time... :p Oh well, as long you all enjoyed it as much as I did, then thats all that matters...

Being short does not make the game unworthy in this case it fits very nicely. Kind of a wam bam thank you buddy feeling. The same you get from watching a good movie that you would not mind watching again.

I beat the game in 7 hours the first time through, because i maxed out the weapons, had trouble in the dark realm....and ran out of herbs and medicine :crap: but the second time through i beat it in 2:53!!! but i still got an A ranking.

I could have beaten it in like 6 or 7 hours, but I was just having so much fun killing ****, that I kept doing it.
Do you need to beat it in under 3 or 4 hours to get the most points for time?

After spending £30 - £40 I would sooner spend my time and maybe take about 7 - 10 hours to complete it than to rush through it in one afternoon.

I agree with some of the other posters. I play a little when i getoff of work and then go about my other things that need done. So the game is quite long lived for me. Mgs was another shorty but the replay was there and seemed endless :) I don\'t know if onimusha will have that kind of replayability yet

You need to beat it in under 3 hours to get the special S ranking.
You also need to kill a certain amount of demons, and a few other things.
It isn\'t that hard to get the S ranking actually....

Now, if you get all 20 flourites (a easy task) you will open up the min-game "Oni Spirits" which is extremely frustrating. But, if you beat it (Easier said then done) you get the Bishamon sword, un-limited magic, un-limited ammo for the matchlock from the start of the game.
