That flight game for PS2 looks better( can\'t think of the name...). Those pics are just plain pathetic for a system that is supposed to be 3X more powerful than PS2.
Ah hem, I\'ll leave the Xbox bashing to other people and there will be a lot of Xbox bashing in this thread...

Ummm, get over it. MS made a mistake, and its over. Sony, Nintendo, EA, Square and even *gasp* my beloved Sega have altered pictures released to the press. It\'s no big deal. If you assume every pic from MS is fake cause of the one incident, you have to assume every game shot from the other companies is faked. And so what if it looks like that \'other\' PS2 game, AC4 looks to be one of the best looking PS2 games ever, but wait, maybe they faked their screens too! LOL...

Yes sooo pathetic. On incomplete hardware, early in production, and already looking as good as a 2nd/3rd gen PS2 game. Sooo pathetic. Oh, wait, it\'s not the screens that are pathetic, its fanboys like you.

Could be ! But IF other companies are doing falsificates like Microsoft they do damn good falsificates cause they aren`t caught in that. Other thing could be that they are not dirty, rotten, cheating scum and if someone is not doing anything wrong you can`t catch im in doing it ?! Now that doesn`t have any sence !!!
OK it doesn`t look pathetic but it looks like something that already exists on PS2, X-something... FANBOYS !!!

Ummm, other companies have been dissed by magazines for it. I believe just recently EA was dissed in EGM or OPM for it. It\'s just MS haters take their stupidity to extremes....

I don`t hate Microsofts products, Windows are good, DirectX is good... The hell everything is good but they are monopolystic scum !!! They are on the verge of bancrot and on they last strenghts they are trying to squeeze a little money from confused people !!! They don`t give a **** for games or gamers !!! Understand that ?! More bs from you huh? Whats the deal with you lately? Why can\'t I voice my opinion around here without getting slammed by some ignorant little moron? Your not gonna change it Ethugg so just back off.
Stop using the imcomplete hardware as an excuse, its getting pittiful. The Xbox dev kits have to be atleast 70-90% complete by now. The game doesn\'t look that good compared to AC4(AC4 hasen\'t been in development for a long time either). But shouldn\'t it look better since it\'s on a supposingly more powerful system? I think it should, and thats why I\'m disapointed. Get over it.
I will not tolerate being called a fanboy again. Look in the thread regarding SK and see why. If I\'m considered a fanboy than soooo many other unbiased people would be considered one too.

All of the following people have a strong hatred for Nintendo and they usually express it often. By calling me a fanboy since I don\'t like the Xbox, you call 4 well known intelligent and ubiased people fanboys as well. The lighting is horrible the colors are too bright and it looks VERY unrealistic...the DC could do this no-doubt about it...
AC4(a game very early in development) looks photo-realistic on the PS2....you can\'t beat photo-realistic;)

In the spirit of... uhhh... something ... not to start a fight, but I would like to say:
1)those pics are very small.
2)DC could do most PS2 games plus quite a few things shown for both XB and GC.
3)Yes, AC4 is early, but as far as we know, those photo realistic backrounds are just that, static photos.
4)Its not unrealistic to think the AC4 pics were touched up either. Lots of companies do it, ppl just didnt make such a big deal about it til now.

but sorry Ethugg, XBox was supposed to be a killer, and until it leaves no doubt that it is, I\'m not taking it seriously anymore.
I have an Xbox pre-order, but as of right now I have 0 intention of excersing it.
I also feel the PS2 will have alot of strengths over both the Xbox and PS2 beyong graphics. I honestly feel top notch PS2 games like MGS2 and all its attention to detail would have trouble running on both those machines.
but this is a different argument. Still there are more to great games then FSAA and lots of polygons and textures, granted everyone loves a sweet "Looking" game, but watching the latest interview from Gamespot showing off all the amazing stuiff in the Game its really helps to show off what the PS2\'s emotion engine is all about.
Time will tell, but I\'m seeing enough cool stuff and read enough interviews about the state of the art techniques being used that can be done because of the PS2\'s EE.

yes ac4 looks better
this looks just a level above an averge pc flight sim, check out the mountains and the ground textures. ps2\'s textures in ac4 look alot better than these. But its gameplay over graphics anyway...and we know that tha ac series has been know for its excelent gamelay!

My opinion, AC4 (which is also in early development looks better).. and I\'m not even talking about the big clear pictures that are recent,.. I\'m talking about the first ever shots released of it, which were about the same size as these.

Hey guys these are just screenshots lets not judge untill we see the games in motion. I really do not like to hype up a game over screens there are other factors that will make a game great like framerate and gameplay depth. Right now every thing is over rated coming from all sides. When I first saw screens of Onimusha I was not impressed however after playing the game I loved it. I dont get to worked up over screen shots. Besides we are talking about super consoles here you are not going to see blaring differences between them they will all have something to offer. The DC weakest of them all still looks amazing(PSO) Air force Delta is not close to being the flagship game for X-box. I say lets wait and see.

That\'s pretty much how I see things... Games nowadays have to be seen in motion to be appreciated. Screenshots don\'t do games justice anymore.
I felt the same way about Onimusha till I saw it on my tv.

Obviously you haven\'t seen any of the videos, the backgrounds are fully textured polygons. Even the lighting on the mountains is in real time. Just thought I\'d clear that up.

I am fine if people are just not interested in the Xbox. However if someone who was once very pumped about it then jumps to the other side of the scale over some screenshots and *.avi\'s of beta games it piques my curiosity to say the very least.

Yes it does dumbass...xbox is according to microsoft going to draw 125,000,000 polygons with heavy texturing and lighting...it is going to perform at speeds of 1 teraflop....has it done that? HELL NO..will it do it? HELL NO?? should half of that destroy PS2? yes...has it? HELL NO..
if xbox is this godly console that would destroy everything in it\'s path and be very easy to use...it should have destroyed every PS2 game...yet it does NOT will not and NEVER will...

Is it really that hard to debate without swearing? Does it make your points better? No, it just makes you look weaker. Sarcasm is much better. But my point was N-Player and others that this may concern, please cut back on the offensive words. They aren\'t really needed.
I think that flight game looks nice, so does AC4. Both games are incomplete so I\'ll reserve my final judgement until they\'re done (and I\'ve tried them). But I think all this Xbox bashing is a bit of a ... gamble. What if the final games will simply blow you away? Then you\'ll look like a fool for saying how pathetic it was. But then again, if it really doesn\'t look much better than PS2, then you can bash it. :D

I believe AFD will get better because its still early in development and not running on the real machine.But AC4 will get and looked better too.

I agree with you guys, that game isn\'t running on final hardware yet, so its hard to judge. The screeen are to small to see the details (jaggies, texture quality and such) So I wait for bigger ones til I make my final comment!
and N-player is getting on my nerves(you should see him on msxbox). Why is a nintendo fan defending ps2 and bashing xbox? sounds fishy to me
