I\'m not endorsing this whatsoever.  I just thought it was interesting.

GameStudio. The world\'s first Game Boy Color emulator for PlayStation2
Play Game Boy Color games on the big screen
Play Pokemon, Zelda and Mario on PlayStation2!
Once you\'ve booted up your Game Studio software, simply plug the specially designed GamePort into the memory card of your PS2 console. Insert any Game Boy or Game Boy Color cartridge, and instantly play it in full colour with authentic sound on your TV/monitor.

Game Studio takes advantage of the PS2\'s bi-linear filtering to display your Game Boy games in hi-res, with smoother edges and graded colours.

Includes 8 built-in games

To get you started we\'ve included eight full commercial Game Boy Color games: Space Invasion, Karate Joe, Painter, ATV Racing, Full Time, Hang Time, Pocket Smash Out and Race Time. These games would cost you £100 to buy in the shops.

With Game Studio\'s "Games To Go" feature, you can download any of your free games onto a special cartridge we\'ve provided, at the click of a button. Simply clip the cartridge into your Game Boy Color and play your Game Studio games wherever you go!

The "Games To Go" cartridge is fully re-programmable, so you can re-use it thousands of times!

Built-in Action Replay

Game Studio is powered by the world\'s best video game cheat cartridge, Action Replay! It\'s packed with thousands of the coolest codes to blast your Game Boy games wide open.

Infinite lives, extra energy, super strength and more - they\'re all yours when you click on Game Studio\'s Action Replay button.

Pokemon compatible

Now you can join in the fun by playing Pokemon on your PlayStation2! Game Studio\'s Action Replay cheat codes work on your entire Game Boy game collection including Pokemon Red, Blue, Gold, Silver, Pinball and Trading Card Game.

100% Rumble Pak compatible

Game Studio supports full Rumble Pak emulation and will make sure your PS2 Dual Shock 2 controller rumbles for any Game Boy title that enables this feature, for example Perfect Dark.

Why the hell would anyone want this? Whoopdie Doo, I can play 8-bit games on my TV. Oh wait, I\'ve been able to do that for years on the SNES. Oh wait, it sucked. Ugh.

Well since Aaron closed the other thread  I\'ll just bring this thread back to life...BWHAHAhahahaha.

Anyway, WTF Aaron, I thought you liked "retro" games. But yet you call me (and others) who would play GBC games on their PS2\'s "retarded"?

Your goofy man.

Okay, maybe retarded was a bit harsh. I don\'t see the point in playing them on a PS2. I\'m all for emulation if the existing hardware is difficult to find and expensive, but you and get a GBC for $65. This thing cost $40. Why not play the real thing? Also, the GBC\'s graphics are going to look miserable on a TV, especially a 32 inch one. Most of the games are fun because you can play them anywhere, and they offer a short diversion, this doesn\'t translate well to sitting on the couch playing them. Tetris will be cool, and so will other puzzle games, but that\'s about it. And yes, I love retro games. I just bought a Famicom Disk System this weekend. :)

OK. Point taken.:)

I hope that this doohickey from Datel/Interact does something to the resolution/color otherwise it may be a bit sucky.

I can\'t stand the lack of luminescence of the GBC screen. You have to have every light in the house on to see it well, or play outside/near sunlight. Me being somewhat of a cave dweller, I like dim lights:)

Hey guys think of the clarity of the picture on my Sony VVega!  With component video going this thing is going to rock!  I am going to play gameboy color games instead of my ps2 games on my playstation 2.  And think of the sound!!!  Midi sound going through my JBL speakers.  Forget 5.1, midi all the way!!!*

*The above statement was pure sarcasim*
