Title: Ok so after all the talk , how many of you are going to get a X box

Personally i won\'t due to the constaints of money and the fact that i have already bought a console, plus i have very happy with my Playstation 2 (other wise i wouldent be here).

but what i want to know is who here is going to get one or not and why ?


please NO CONSOLE BASHING

just give your reason and vote in the poll, this well be intresting to see who votes what and why.

and hopefully put an end to the X box bashing too.

I am also going to purchase an Xbox. It is bound to have some good games and I don\'t want to miss out on any exclusives.

I won`t buy it because I am very happy with my PS2 and surely will be until 4th generation consoles, anyways I believe that X-Box will be one hell of great console but as I said I am more than happy with what I`ve got.

Not sure.If it\'ll be this kickass graphics behemoth,I might buy it.So far it has yet to impress me.samething goes for the NGC,but it\'s growing on me.

You definetely forgot to add a certain option, considering many \'poorer\' people :)

so, my vote goes on:

x No ( but I would if I had enough money ) ;)

Of course, as I\'m unbiased, I would like to get every next-gen console possible; but I already made my decision buying playstation 2. I passed Dreamcast already. You just can\'t quess how many hours I thought about whether to buy DC or wait for Ps2. I\'m happy with my decision \'tho ;)

X-box would be another must-buy for me, of course, but my pitiful money won\'t be enough for it - far from it. It took two years from me to save for Ps2, and if I\'d like to save for another next-gen console... well, another 2 years, and no new ps2-games, that would mean.

So, I quess the answer is still NO, but not because I don\'t want to, but I don\'t have money.

Definitely. XB has Munch and a lot of promising games announced, combined with great financial backing.

I\'ll wait and see, but I don\'t see myself getting one in the near future.  Right now, money is a problem.  I have a Dreamcast and an N64 to support.  Damn Sega and their good games ;) .  If I even get another console this year it will probably be a GC, or a PS2 (mainly for PSOne games)

Not at the moment. Same for PS2. I am waiting until the Playstation 2 goes down in price, because I already have a DVD player. Also, I\'m sure with Microsoft\'s backing that the X-Box will quickly have its price lowered after release. So, I\'ll wait until prices go down. I\'m still waiting for Gamecube, which I will most likely get at launch, and I\'ll go for PS2 after that probably.

i\'ll get one but not until like a year or longer after release (when it goes into first price drop),unless i see a game i must really have and when i say that,i mean it has to really look awesome,not none of this stuff we\'re seeing now that looks like ".00003 x better than PS2 games" :laughing: :p

I am very happy with my ps2, and also the money concerns are there as well. I believe X-Box will have some good titles but i KNOW ps2 is gonna have some(it already has great titles, something the GC and XB dont :)), so the ps2 is a very safe bet for anyone who is considering which one to buy.

I\'m a metal gear whore and I have to jump at any and all oppurtunities to get the next incarnation, upgraded or otherwise.

mmmh I dont know yet, The choice between a gf3 (or any other pc upgrade) and an xbox is tough

Yes, X-Box will be a great buy. With built in broadband and a extremely powerful chipset, and good 3rd party support. It will be just as good, if not better eventually that the ps2.

I have been lucky to have had almost every gaming device(even the Saturn *cough*). I must confess I hate Sony for what happend to my beloved Saturn but that did not stop me from buying the PSX. Hey I am weak for great games. The PS2 was not high on my list at first. Boasting how they would destroy the PC with thier 66million poly machine. Boasting aside with Gt3, Drakan and many other PS2 only games I can push my feelings for a company aside and enjoy the games featured on this amazing Black Box called the PS2. I still have a few rough feelings about Sony but who can pass up some of the great art the PS2 will offer. Mark my words somewhere along the line every true gamer will want the X-Box.

I won\'t be frothing at the mouth to get one on launch day, but I\'m open-minded enough to give it a look once it\'s out. It\'ll have to be pretty impressive though, and I\'ll also be keeping an eye on Gamecube, so it\'s still up in the air for me.

I will be getting one because I think it is a great buy. I have always been open minded in gaming. I think you should be if you want the best possibel gaming experience. So at launch count me in that number.
