Title: my PS2 died "black screen on reboot"

I pressed reboot and nothing happend - blank screen - no cd-eject light and no funktion of the eject button!!!!!

I tried it 100 times - no reaction!
 
101 I got both lights (green and blue) and it works fine!!

But only 2 times!!!

Had anybody experienced the same Problem HELP!!!
I dont want to send it back!!!!

The only thing i can think of is that it could have been a faulty power connection, or it could have overheated.
Check that the fan at the back is clear and spins when you turn on the PS2, also check that there is no dust blocking
the vent on the front of your PS2

Let us know if everything is still working

The fan spins and there is no dust at all.
Uuups, if have not front fan (or it must be very small).
I have the EURO-PAL Version.

I hate threads like this,i feel really sorry for ya man,i dont know what i would do with out  my PS2.

I can\'t believe that no one has had the same problem before. PLEASE ask your friends about it.

This damn thing will drive me crazy!!!!

Everyone talks about new games, **** and I can\'t play even one!!!!!!

Sony talks about 3 weeks for replacement!
Thas too much for me!!!

There isn\'t really much that i can\'t think of then BM. I\'m sorry that i couldn\'t help you any more. Oh BTW
there isn\'t a fan at the front of the PS2, there is only 1 at the back which draws the air in from the front vents.

My PS2 died also. I named it P.o.S.2.(Piece of **** 2) . Don\'t get me wrong, i love PS2 and all but damn, Sony nneeds to make these  things better. I didnt  do anything to mine. Just do what I did...sell it on eBay with *broken* ps2 in the header. I already have a bid for $200 with 3 days left.
