Less cars for better graphics, that\'s essentially what GT3 is all about with the exception of new courses and features. But gone is the overwhelming selection of vehicles. We\'re all so geared of for a simulation? What we\'re really geared up is for graphics this time around. I mean I\'m still completing GT2 Simulation, it\'s massive. . .but with GT3, the road the the finish line will seem a lot quicker, unless those guys at Sony are doing some good hard work.
-
Of course, with the new handling and physics the game could be a lot harder so even though there are less cars it will take a long time to get them.
-
"Flamebrain"... hmmm...
Less cars for better graphics ??? What are you talking about ???
If you store 20 or 200 cars on a DVD doesn´t matter... this has NOTHING to do with graphics !

The cars in GT3 are so detailed, it takes long time to put them into the game.
If they want to put in as many cars as GT2 the game will never be finished.
I think thats what he was trying to tell us.

I rather have the graphics, because eventhough gt2 had like 600 cars, the majority of them sucked ass, I mean who cares about having 10 different mazda mx-7\'s
I\'d rather have 150 god looking totally different cars then 600 cars that are mostly the same
-
Personally, I\'m glad they trimmed down the car list to focus on perfecting the handling and road physics. I don\'t miss most of the cars cut such as the BMW 323ci, Dodge Avenger, the legion of Civics, Cosmos, Skylines, etc. Sure, the more the better but the current list is stronger in my eyes with returning favorites and hot new rides such as:
2000 Acura CL 3.2 Type S
2000 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (finally!)
2002 Mazda RX-8
2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII GSR
2000 RUF R-GT
2001 Subaru Impreza WRX STi Version
and of course
No. 88 Nomad Diablo GT-1 (woohoo!)
Gran Turismo 1 was the perfect driving game for me for its time. GT2 saw minimal gameplay tweaks, added some annoying bugs, and seemed more of a car collecting game with 400 vehicles, only 100 of which could fit in the garage, and only about 10 I use regularly. I still enjoyed GT2 very much but it didn\'t have the same impact as the first game. Now with GT3, I believe I\'ll get that same fresh GT feeling again. New tracks, new cars, weather effects, superior rally engine, heat haze and sun glare. And in a few weeks time, it shall be mine.

Youre right there mate! I think that there are too many cars to care about in GT2. The most important thing for me is that the tracks, graphics, AI and handling are perfect. I don\'t care if they only have 20 cars in the game cos that\'s about the number I always store in my garage and then I only really use about 10 of them!
-
Yup, GT3 has about the same number of cars as GT does and I\'ve still not driven all the cars in GT so I\'m sure it\'ll all be fine.
-
I can put my name under this, too... :D
-
I want to see my 93 Hyundai Sonata in the list, else I don\'t buy this game. My car OWNZ (when it RUNZ:D)
-
As long GT3 has the RUF\'s, I\'m happy!! :D

-
As long as they have my two favorite cars, the Impreza WRX( and STi) and the Lancer Evolution(version 5-7), I\'ll be happy.
-
Less cars for better graphics? Absolutely, especially when ya consider that so many of those cars before were duplicates and the like.
How many Skylines does the game really need? :{>

I think the exact opposite if they make the game look like a descent PS2 game with alot of cars ill be happy cars like the demio are fun to race mod and mess around with
-
Id rather have less cars, for better graphics and a kick arse frame rate..
-
about half of you guys i think only care about graphics
-
I feel what you guys are saying. I mean, I really don\'t have the time to drive 600 cars, I really never thought of it. But we know that GT4 or whatever they\'re going to call it will just be overwhelming, in a good way though.

We don\'t just care about the graphics, we care about gameplay. All we are saying is that if there were 700 cars in the game, will you have time to drive them all? No!
This is why we say if the programmers concentrated more of their programming skills on less cars in the game (maybe 200) then the cars will \'look better\' ie. better graphics. The cars will be more detailed, handle better (gameplay) and overall, the game will be more realistic! There you have it, we are not yearning for superior graphics, to be honest, i\'d buy any GT game!
-
Also, thus far (GT and GT2) your garage has only been able to hold 100 cars. If you wanted to really use more than that you\'d need more than one game save to do it. More than 200 cars in the game would just make it frustrating to keep all of the cars around.
