Title: Your ranking in the MGS2 demo (all territories)

So, what place are you guys currently running in? On my 2nd try last night, not including the play time I had at the metreon, I got through the demo on hard and ranked 7th place in the North America standings. How about you guys? Anyone have any good rankings?

I did a few try on Normal and i\'m 3500 or something....

But what are the most important criterias beside speed? Cause if you finish the demo really quick
(and of course with no alert mode and no continue), you get a good ranking...

Does the amount of people killed is taken in account?

I find it sad that speed is such an important criteria....

Anyway, I have to try again...

Post by: IronFist on March 29, 2001, 04:12:07 PM: If you look at the overall rankings, every person in first, second, and third, in every difficulty, only used four bullets, didn\'t kill anyone, and beat it in about a minute and a half.

I played through for my first time -- I ranked over 4000! :D Don\'t worry though Ryu, you will have some competition soon. :)

And one more thing, there is no one ranked in the top 3 on any difficulty from the USA. Come on Americans, lets show them what were made of! :D

Post by: Ryu on March 29, 2001, 09:20:15 PM: It shows it directly after the to be continued screen. Remember, to get a faster time, skip all the cutscenes as well as all the dialogue and mini in-game cut scenes.

BTW, the top 3 rankings in North America are BS. They all have the same score, radar, and they all use 28 bullets! Hmmm, I wonder if they\'re cheating...:rolleyes: They use 28 bullets and they still get such a low time? Why would all of them use 28 bullets -- 28 bullets is awful! I don\'t think so. They obvously got lucky punching in a code or something then used it to register a few times. I hope they remove these cheater\'s scores. ;)

The only reason why my score is lower than other peoples is because I take double to triple the amount of time to kill Olga. Getting headshots on her is tough, but people do it well.

Post by: IronFist on March 30, 2001, 12:50:06 AM: I keep getting knocked down on the charts by the cheaters. There are now 7 people who have exactly the same score. I complained in the BBS that\'s on the site there, and I hope that will work.

I am now 13th in North America (6th if your not including the cheaters :)), and 93rd world wide on normal difficulty. I fired 5 bullets, and beat it in 2m14s.

The idea of a 2 sided book was good too.........sort of saves paper........... I just tried it and that is the code for the high score everyone gets! it is Doberman! I KNEW noone was that friggin fast!

11 times scene and 0 continues on very hard? uh huh... then 26 shots fired... that\'s horsecrap especially with 1 minutes and 15 seconds for the time.

It\'s people like this that made me stop caring about competing in the ranking at all. Cheaters never prosper, but only until they are caught and removed will I continue to up my ranking.
