SONY\'s AUSTRALIAN PS2 Production Plant has finally been completed, according to sorces outside of SONY CORP AUSTRALIA today.

PS2 game production will begin in early MAY!!!

THANK GOODNESS FOR THAT! We now won\'t have to wait for the dodgy \'foot n\' mouth\' infested versions from the UK!

This also means faster release from the US!

FASTER RELEASE FOR THE US!?!?!?? HOT DIGGITY DOG!! sweet thanks for the 411 man. ..oh wait...why am I getting so excited for, I already have a ps2 (note. I do not mean to sound ungrateful and I do feel for you people who still do not own a ps2 yet). NOw this plant, will it be producing other things besides just ps2\'s? like maybe ps2 peripherals such as the 40 gig hardrive or the broadband modem adapter?

From what I know it is only for PS2 game production at present, so we now don\'t get our games from the Austrian plant in Europe anymore.

The PSOne plant is still going, I think.

Not sure about your other question. I found this info in a PS2 newsletter I got.

By the way, I said faster release FROM the US (For Australians) not faster release TO the US, like you stated.

I visited Sim Lim Square yesterday, good news is ps2\'s price drop to $450.

The bad news is each game cost $100.

You can find 2 shops selling ps2 on level one of Sim Lim Square..i cannot recall the shop\'s name but it was the one nearest to the  23,170 bus stop.

Yes i ask the storekeeper,its the US version.

P.S.
There are still not enough PS2-production-plants. I\'m waiting for my s-video-cable, since november 2000.
