Title: Final Fantasy X (...Who\'s Getting It???)
Post by: Evi on March 31, 2001, 11:05:55 PM: Oh YEAH! I am totally getting this game!!! This is the best looking game on PlayStation 2 so far. It\'s even up to par with the likes of Metal Gear Solid 2!!! Square really out-did themselves this time. I love Square, and I\'ve always loved the Final Fantasy series. ..what about you guys?

these new recent movies are awesome and i am an RPG dude, i have all of the final fantasys from 7 and up, so this will be a very good addition to my collection.

Post by: Falcon4 on April 01, 2001, 07:25:30 AM: html isnt that hard to learn.. just look up learn html in lycos or something, read through one of those pages, and theyll give you examples, it takes about 15 minutes to understand what i did up there^

I know I just couldn\'t ignore an ff-title - but with these graphics... it\'s going to be helluva more fun than any FF before! ;)

I will personally call everybody who is NOT going to get FFX a \'freak\' with no life. :)

If Square dosn\'t release the Special Edition in the States, like they ever do anything over here, Im going to import it. Since I\'ve liked every final fantasy game, some more then others, Im looking forward to this.

My only is will it be a long game? Every graphicly entense game has been short.

Post by: Caspian on April 01, 2001, 08:47:40 AM: Most Square fans would kill if you if you siad that to thier face. The good news is Im not like most Square fans. I can\'t say if this will be better then the others before it. (For me they always are) But I can say that if you should get anyone it would have to be this. From what I hear they are pulling alot of things from the 3 PSOne games. "The best of Final Fantasy" I believe someone at Square siad. But like most people who have never played Final Fantasy games I think you should wait untill it comes out and see if you want it. The only thing is it might not be thier.

They\'re the most boring games I\'ve ever played although i liked Vagrant Story a little coz it didn\'t have that completely turn-based combat crap and had a better story than those lame FF stories.
FF is so boring, the stories sounds like they\'re written by 12 year old day dreamers heh
Ah well, that\'s just my opinion anyway.

The *storyline* and the *character development* for each game was well worth it...I just personally wish I could turn off all the monotonous fights. I realize that without the battles, a character can\'t get more experience, etc....and that is at the heart of the battle wins.

But... Honestly, walk ten feet...fight some monsters...walk ten more feet...fight more monsters...walk ten more feet...fight more monsters that looked like the first monsters...walk ten feet back where you were before and...lo and behold...THE SAME MONSTERS you killed before are back in your face again!...walk ten more fe... ah, jeez, you get it...

For the storyline to which I suspect will be superb, I will get FFX. I\'d just love to hope the battlescenes prove to be a little more imaginative. Again, they can come up with all that character development, fairly lush game environment, excellent cut-scenes to push the storyline...then they typically drop the ball on the battles... Too bad...

Theyre good games, and you should try em. That said, they arent great games (IMO) and I could make a list of 100\'s of games I prefer over any FF (including 6, 7 and 9). Now the bashing will really begin, cause I played em and (from a Square fans perspective) just dissed em... hehehe... I wait for the flaming arrows to fly at me... :p

But ,like My local always does, if you preorder they let you in an hour early. So you are in and out before the rush happens.
