Have you noticed the difference?PS2 started with some decent not so mind blowing games,past TGSs and E3s didnt have much to be excited about,PS2\'s power was underestimted,doubts if PS2 could offer what Sony promised...
But look now.PS2 LOOKS BETTER THAN EVER!!IT PROOVED CGI LIKE REAL-TIME GRAPHICS!!SH2,FFX,AC4,GT3...
FFX also prooved how effective PS2\'s texture streaming is.
I ve never been so excited about PS2.

PS2 has no where to go but Up...and anyone who bashes the PS2 really is retarded because most of the things they bash about we heard about before the Launch way back in Oct...Think of better reasons to bash the MIGHTY ps2 you pathetic fanboys....and don\'t even bring up that bull**** about PS2 being hard to devolpe for.

well, it called the evolution of a playstation :), it takes time to deveope for the PS2, alll the first launch titles were created fast and and carelesly, they didnt take advantage of any of the PS2 features, all the games looked like a little improved DC games, they didnt even use the vector units. now the games the recent games that are being made have had thier time, developers learned from the first games and tried to actually pump some power out, but now they have supassed the difficulty are using the vector units, they are taking the EE to the level it was created to show.
all the games i have seen so far i think are still first gen MGS2 is about 1st and 3/4 gen and maybe FFX is the second gen game weve been waiting for, it uses even more feature we have yet to see in action such a texture streaming, we still have long way to go until the PS3 is released and to already say that the secon gen game has arrived in my opinion is to early, PS2 is now starting to actually show its potential, and we have yet to see the final product.. the 4 gen game wich will blow our minds

Getaway
Dropship
these are just some of the games due to come out for the PS2
All this Nonsence about the X box will destroy everything PS2, is just another rant and rave from your classic X Box Fanboy

yeah there are tons of great games coming,,, and x box (yes it isnt out yet) has almost nothing announced to go against them.
halo, sure, that looks good, but yet it is a pc port..
gamecube, isnt kiddie, but i think that after peeps have spent their money on a ps2, the casual gamers wont wanna buy a x box, mabye a gamecube, theyre cheap, but the games have to appeal to them..
this is one interesting console war we have in our hands..:bounce:

AC4 is the second to Dropship ..trust me..the reviewers claimed the detailed landscape is lost when flying close to the grounds...but try Dropship ...fly close to the ground and touched hundreds of tree peaks.
Not only can u fly but drive on the ground too.

And to be a PC port, a game needs to have been *released* on the PC. Halo was a PC game, and is now a console game.
Anyways, before I was sidetracked, I agree with everything before Falcon4\'s post.

It\'s a big disgrace to videogames.
I\'ll just get my Philips CD i out of the garage

My g/f just got a computer (Compaq 5005SR with intel Pentium 3 @933mhz) and I have not played PC games, but my son just got Ranbow Six Rogue Spear with the Urban Operations disk and it plays and looks real good!! Will the PS2 have this quality games like the PC?

PS2 games will get better and better and I\'m confident that we\'ll see the same improvements between 2nd and 3rd generation of games :)
...have you tried to imagine GT4? ...I know it\'s very well in development...a lot of new features plus on-line capabilities...but now I want to stop my imagination and...I\'ll continue my countdown for (Japanese) GT3!

That\'s been answered already. I think that explains Unicron\'s eye rolling. And Rainbow Six? He could have picked a better PC game to compare to the PS2.

PS2 is still one years old and we have seen many great games from TGS.Yes it WILL have quality games like the PC.No wait.It already has and some of them are already better.

Ah well, I thought it was because you meant PC\'s didn\'t have any quality games. They do and many of them look better than PS2 games - mostly \'just\' because of the texture quality and higher resolution. Nothing looks better than MGS2 though. ;)

the only problem I have with computer games now is that they are made for high end systems. My computer sucks, I\'ve had it for about a year and a half and all the games coming out will not run at all. My graphics card is only 16M so no tribes 2 for me. Anyway, instead of buying a new $300 video card and processor, I could get a new playstation 2, which I did!!!

Im just glad ive got a 1 ghz comp and i ps2 i get the best of both worlds
