It\'s pretty good. I set up the controls like in Timesplitters. Still going to take a while to get used to that instead of the mouse + keyboard combo.
Graphics are kind of fuzzy. It\'s weird. Characters are hard to distinguish one from another. But it offers the usual deathmatch, team deathmach, capture the flag, and smear the queer matches.
4 players, not bad. Horrible load times you won\'t believe. But it\'s something to hold me over until Twisted Metal Black.

well does it look better than the pc??, and rate the game from 1 - 10 if you can, oh and by the way everyone im getting MDK2 armageddon after work :) soe xpect me to give my impressions

I would like to know, if the PS2-version looks of Q3A looks better than the DC\'s. And what about the framerate?
-
haha
looks better than pc? i dont think so
-
I was thinking the same thing, you can put the resolution way higher on the PC version and have 32bit color. The textures I would think would look better on the PC version at max settings too.
-
[H]ardcore Quakers don\'t care about graphics, everything is very low and framerates are very high

The graphics of Quake III on PS2 are no where near PC level. I have tested the game on my 27" Zenith and As soon as RAW is over I\'ll test it out on my Voodoo 3500TV on my PC.
The character models are fuzzy but the gameplay is solid. The only really bad thing is the load times and I guess if I was a little patient that wouldn\'t be a problem either.
Well after 2 days of this game I\'d probably rate it a 7 on a 1-10 scale. The multiplayer is good, the best part really.
There\'s a screen adjustment feature and different controller setups, but what\'s missing there is the ability to assign each individual button the command you choose. You have 4-5 different options on controller configs.
Oh Stone Cold\'s on now, so tell me what else you want to know and I\'ll get back to this thread :)

Well I only played it briefly @ EB. (on that cheap plasma screen mind you) ... All things considered it looks nice. I can also say it runs @ 60fps. I don\'t really care since I have the PC version and I think Q3a sucks anyway.

- what\'s in the f\'cking box?

Actually guys it\'s sharper on S-Video, as I just switched it over from RGB (wrong cord hooked up cause I\'m stoopid :D )
I just find it really hard to aim with the analogs. The bots can beat your ass easy.
Oh Tails, I\'m sorry I\'ve never played the DC version so I couldn\'t tell you how it stands up
-
The game is pretty good, but it\'s no Timesplitters..............Load times suck hairy balls!!!!!!!!!
-
yeah i got it 2 , graphics fairly solid but the loading times are hurrendous but i would say 8 out of 10
gameplay rocks though
-
I really suck at this analog-instead-of-mouse-aiming scheme. Anyone else have a hard time feeling out the sensitivity of your right analog?
-
ive been thinking about getting this game as it comes out this friday. I already own ts, im not the hugest 1st person game but really liked it, is it worth me getting it?????
-
I like it better than Timesplitters. I only played 4-player on Timesplitters but I didn\'t think it was as good as Quake 3.
