Real Gay!
This is for all the peole that make fun of mullets. Don\'t enjoy the body sweat of a more than half naked man. Doesnt live in state beginning with an A (minus Arizona). Doesn\'t know what "know your role" means. Laughs at all the fat geezers that still wrestle, yet probably havent gotten it up from all the steroids in years.

I used to love the WWF (never the WCW though *gag*). Then I just started to like it. Right now I really don\'t care. I\'ll watch it if I\'m bored and there\'s nothing else on, but that\'s rare. However, I do have respect for some of the wrestlers. People like the Undertaker who have done it for so many years deserve some props.
Plus, they keep thousands of people entertained on a near-daily basis. That\'s gotta count for something.

Actually it\'s not passed off as a sport anymore. It\'s sports entertainment. You guys can hate it all you want, more power to you. Just wanted to point that out though.

Hehe, Vince said himself on abc 7 one day that it\'s just like a live soap oprea. So... he knows it\'s not a sport, and even on TV they say it\'s SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT. You guys may not like it, but I do, I respect your opionions, but you guys have to respect the fact that people like... for instance, in the TLC 2 match last night... 2 people fell off a ladder into two, that\'s right two tables, and this was a giant ladder. Lemme push you off and let\'s see you get up.
I\'ll give this to you, It\'s choreagraphed, but it\'s not fake. I hate when people says it\'s fake when it\'s not. When you fall down, YOU REALLY FALL DOWN. When you fall off the top rope, YOU REALLY FALL OFF THE TOP ROPE. When you fall 16 ft. from a cage, YOU REALLY FALL 16 ft. FROM A CAGE. When your bleeding, YOUR REALLY BLEEDING. Granted, some people believe it\'s vampire blood, but in fact the ref carries razors, and they cut themselves.
So, fake? No. Choreographed? Yes.
Do WWF get millions of viewers every week? Yes.
So then, you might not like it, but it\'s very sucessful. The one thing people watch it for is because, indeed it involves everything a sport, and show require. You must be athletic, agile, and limber to do the things these wrestlers too. But on the other hand, you must also have good mic skills, and a decent background of acting.
I respect all of your opinions, because everyone has their own. If I said I thought Phantasy Star Online was gay, would you bash me? Well lets see...

they have a whole team of writers, but Vince always has the last word. Also, the head of the creative team is Stephanie McMahon. They also just added Paul Heyman. I know that one of the writers used to work on the tv show "Will And Grace".

I don\'t think wrestling is homosexual, however I do think it\'s pretty stupid. I guess, as someone else in this thread said, it\'s a soap opera for guys - I hate soap operas. I used to watch WWF when I was a kid (with Hulk Hogan, Jake the Snake Roberts, The million dollar man etc), but I kinda grew out of it when I was around 11 or 12.
I must, however, give a lot of respect to the actors/wrestlers who say their lines and play their roles without a hint of a smile. I watched about five minutes of wrestling (WWF) last week, and some of the lines are so stupid they\'re funny - not to mention those guys are right in each other\'s faces. If it was me, I\'d just burst out laughing.

:D I just read the first post and I find mullets hilarious. There\'s a huge fair in Bloomsburg Pa, and my brother and his friends used to go and count the mullets of all the hicks there. Around X-Mas I even saw a mullet calender of all pictures of mullets. I just had to get it. :D

BTW TOBG is completely right. Sure they try to make all the move as painless as possible but its impossible to get suplexed of a turnbuckle and come crashing to the ground and have it not hurt. Or get hit in the face with a steel chair and have it not hurt. Or get slammed through the top of a steel cage and fall 10+ feet to the ground only to have a falling chair hit you in the face. Or to jump 5 feet off a turnbuckle and land on top of a table. Or get thrown off a ladder and fall 15 feet onto 4 tables. Or fall 50+ feet of the side of a Titantron. And these are the things these people do everyday.
Face it, wrestling is scripted, but fake? Hell no.
P.S. Not all wrestlers wear spandex you know. And even if they do they could still beat the living f*ck out of you.

I hate to say this....wreslting fake....dont think so.......look at what happened to owen hart...though it might have been partially the oufit......foley.........all the bumps he has taken on tacks.....barbed wire....might have been plastic....dunno.....off of cages, but pain is PAIN! when you get hit it does actually hurt....is isn\'t air! but Mulltes and willy babba chicken necks (rednecks) do SUCK!

I hate wrestling.
Sure, I am sure stuff of that stuff is painful. And it does take talent to do the flips and what not.
But come on, its friggin\' scripted. Not to mention, half the time when they act like they are punching the other guy , you can tell he isn\'t. Its just lame.
Personally, if I want to see some violence, I\'ll watch boxing. Where it isn\'t scripted and the hits are real.
By the way, what is with all the damn catchphrases? Its annoying.
Still, everyone is entitled to their own opinion on what good entertainment is. Certainly not everyone will consider it gay. For me, it bores me. But, if someone else enjoys it, thats cool.

Jebus, Mary and Joseph, I don\'t watch wrestling to see real fighting. I watch it for the comic book style heros and the scantaly clad women and the overdone story-lines.
I watch wrestling because as much as some of you will refuse to believe it, there is a art to it all.

Mr. Eric Jacob, I am offended by what you said. Not the part about wrestling being fake. I am offended by your discrimination against people who where spandex, tights, and/or mullets. I wrestle for my high school, and I take pride in the amount of effort and work that goes into wrestling. I go out every week in wrestling, and I wrestle in spandex. So am I gay? Is anyone who joins wrestling and wear spandex gay? You just don\'t understand wrestling. It is by far... one of, if not THE HARDEST sports in high school. To make fun of someone or even call them gay for wearing spandex is not only mean, it is sick to think that someone gets pride making fun of a person who puts themself through hell just to be in shape. I don\'t think you understand the kind of commitment it takes to be a wrestler. You have to put yourself through hell day in and day out. Go and sprint 6 laps and try to keep up with a basketball game. Yeah, you might think it\'s all funny, but in real life those wrestlers could beat the crap out of you at any moment. So you go on making fun of people because of what they wear, it\'s pure discrimination. I thought trolls and bashers were bad, but now we\'ve got a prejudice member to deal with.
I don\'t come to these boards as often as I use to, but after I read this disgusting thread I was disturbed personally, and it made me want to just leave and never come back. I\'m not going to do that though, because some people do appreciate what athletes go through just to play a sport.
