Will VF4 look like what we have seen on the ps2 how doses the ps2 stack up with the naomi2.

i thought naomi 2 was the engine that they were making VF4 with?

Naomi.2 is a beefed up Dreamcast.It\'s got texture capabilities up the wazoo.
But it\'s still based around the same processor the Hitachi SH.4 if I remember correctly and it has the same PowerVR graphics chip.
It\'s the arcade version of the DC.
Not sure how VF.4 will look like on the PS.2 but I don\'t think it will be as good as the scrrens we\'ve been seeing.

It\'s not the engine, but the arcade hardware they are making VF4 on.

it\'s not really an "arcade DC". the arcade DC was the Naomi, the "enhanced arcade DC" is the Hikaru board. the Naomi2 is more like a Nitrous oxyde-powered DC strapped on a Space shuttle booster rocket :D

Naomi 2 has a monster amount of texturing abilities, as well as Hardware Transformation and Lighting.

Plus ram helps :)

naomi 2 can handle 10 milion polygons per second, while ps2 can do 20, on the other side naomi2 is easier to develop for and has better texture handeling than ps2

Thats 10 million fully texture mapped with all features. for Naomi 2.

20 million with fully features on ps2, sucks how only 3-5 million polygons are being used so far :(

I thought ZOE used around 8-9mpps!

But I might be wrong!

nO-One: Just look at FFX, I think PS2 version of VF4 will surpass the Naomi2 graphics! :D
If SEGA knows how to program.

Fast you have to understand that the Texture capebilities of Naomi.2 can put the PS.2 to shame.It\'s very hard to get good textures out of the PS.2,they basically have to redraw the scene all the time and that is something the programmers haven\'t even been doing. (correct me if I\'m wrong but they have been using those little 4mb as Vram,and using lower resolutions,instead of streaming the textures)

But VF4 on Naomi2 dosent have "GREAT" textures IMO!
I think PS2 could do that.

Maybe when the developers learn more about PS2 and how to use its hardware! :D

The developers will learn,just look at the original games and then look at the new FF,MGS.2 and GT.3 it\'s a huge leap in graphical capebilities.
