It wasn\'t an official "relaunch". Its just when some good games came out and more systems became available.
-
Yeah, I was thinking about that, too. I was like hmm, Onimushua was good the first time, when it was called Resident Evil. Bouncer was good the first time, when it was called Final Fight. Rayman 2: Revolution was good the first time, when it was called Rayman 2. MDK2 Armageddeon was good the first time, when it was called MDK2.
About the only thing that was really good was ZOE witht the MGS2 demo (not into it, but ZOE was cool)

BTW: 1000th post, feel excited for me.

And the car flies into the crowd.

Rayman 2 was released in early Feburary
Ring of Red, Shadows of Destiny,
to name a few more games
April kicked ass IMO, I had a blast. Fun is the name of the game, and obviouslly people like Altered Feast forget thats what games are about. If you own a pS2 and didn\'t have fun in April you obviously have head full of **** from being stuck up your ass
Onimusha was still a ton of fun, it has similiarities to RE but who cares especially for me who never plated RE ever.
The Bouncer was overrated but alot of people liked the game, who the hell is anyone to tell them they\'re wrong.
Sorry this was a lame topic, with some even lamer opinions
-
We did not need no stinking RE-launch. That made no sense. It launched in the US last Oct that is all we needed.

Altered, there is a good reason to get a PS2... to play PSOne games... that\'s about it for me. As of now, there aren\'t enough PS2 games that would merit a purchase for me... FFX and MGS2 should change my mind though ;).

rrrrriiiiiggghhtt.
I along with everyone else will be disregarding your opinion since you don\'t even know what month the relaunch was.
It wasn\'t that bad guys...I thought Onimusha was pretty good and well that\'s about it( my friend ownz a PS2 so no saying **** about me not playing it).
Hehe....nice post Altered. ;) Its funny because you accused all the supposignly good games of being just remakes of other games like them. That\'s what makes it funny...

ooops I did say April
and Jumpman,
March kicked ass, it was tons of fun, I enjoyed it and still am. So for anyone trying to make it sounds like its a negative thing, It just gives me a huge chuckle.
Onimusha rocked regardless of its simularities. Only a butthead would deny oneself such fun. Your not a butthead are u ????
ZOE is pretty good, a few more boss battles and the game is AAA, MGS2 demo is pure heaven
Ring of Red is still occupying my time, I still play the MGS2 demo and my step-son is loving ZOE. I haven\'t played Onimusha the 2nd time yet but plan too when I can find the time,
WHo the **** cares what system MDK2 was on first it doesn\'t change the fact its a fun game for PS2 owners to play
and Shadows of Destiny is another quality game for March
There isn\'t much negative anyone can say without proving to be meat head
-
there was a relaunch?? who makes up these things and why do people get all upset over this stuff??
About the only thing that was really good was ZOE witht the MGS2 demo (not into it, but ZOE was cool)
you are not into MGS2 Altered..??!! i thought you were an action kind of a player too,i\'m stunned it didn\'t interest you even a bit. what\'s your bag,are you a role player gamer mainly then?

The Relaunch is actually this month.
It was stated in my Circuit City news book.
At least it is for Circuit City.
This month is officially PS2 month at CC.
Every shipment we get about 30 PS2\'s whereas before, we got a shipment of 11 every two months or so.
Also, whoever says March was a dissapointing month for games, look at any system at ANY one month period, and show me a month that had as many quality titles come out.
RoR.
ZOE.
Onimusha.
Shadows of Destiny.
MDK2.
TPB.
HHB.
March was a good month.
-
I agree, March was great (see, I\'m not always negative). Onimusha and Shadows still rock, even after playing them over and over.
-
The so called "relaunch" came and went.
Onimusha was excellent.
Shadows of Destiny was great.
MGS2 demo was mind-blowing.
Uh..Z.OE, well..uh...Yeah..
It was Z.O.E, you decide if that was great or not.. I think not.
Still, it was a fun (but expensive month) for Ps2 owners.

I keep saying this cause I believe its the truth, double the boss battles in ZOE get rid of some of the repetitious middle of the game and ZOE is a AAA title
Those boss fights we\'re a riot, Konami could gave us boss fights in the city and both ESP towers with there own unique fighting styles like the others ZOE leaves no doubt IMO

"Sorry this was a lame topic, with some even lamer opinions"
is this including your own, Ddaryl?
you never played any RE? So how come you all of a sudden you pick up Onim.? You really should pick up CV, now that it will be on the console of your choice.
Bouncer was fun...to newbies who only started playing up to 5 years ago. Anyone basically that has played a SoR or FF will tell me that Bouncer reaks of poo in comparison.
MDK2 was fun, I didn\'t say that, but I had it half a year ago on DC, so whoopdeefrickingdoo.
Jumpman - thanks, its an old David Spade routine, I thought I would just change it around a little for Sony\'s March relaunch.
Metal=Death - nah, I got really bored with MGS after playing it through, it justisn\'t my game. RPG\'s are always good too, I love any good RPG (-ff\'s, can\'t stand the last 3). My bag is really online games and fighting games. I fancy myself an expert SF3 player and VF guru. When VF4 comes to my arcade, I will camp outside of it til it opens, without a doubt.
I said ZOE was good, not perfect or excellent by any means, but I gaev away my MGS2 demo after trying to get excited about it, but I always went back to play SF3:3 with friends. (BTW Dudly and Yun are my new guys! I only use Ken now if I really wanna kick someones ass!!)

Altered
Never played any Horror, I was never into it, but listening to all the regulars tlak about the game gas sparked an interest.
One thing ya have to remember is I gamed early in life, gave it up when I was 15 and resumed when I was in my mid 20\'s. I goofed with Sega and Nintendo systems in that time but never owned one. One ogf the reasons I never owned sytems back then is mainstream games like Mario never made me want to play videogames.
None of my best friends game seriously, so all the stuff I never really new about I learn from the friendships I developed on this forum mainly. No one is around or was around to tell me which games are the cool ones I should try. Now a few of my friends game and I call them up and tell them what they should check into.
I\'m definetly going to check out Code Veronica with the DMC demo. None the less Onimusha was a riot, and lots of people very familiar with the RE series found it very enjoyable.
I understand yur not wanting to play MDK2 on the PS2 since you\'ve been there and done that on the DC, it still in my opinion having MDK2 on the PS2 is a positive thing. I took your comments to mean it was a negative thing

To whomever said the relaunch wasn\'t official. It was quite official, at least a few months ago. Then it seemed like Sony ditched it, when they realized they couldn\'t flood the stores with systems like everyone expects for a launch. What the hell good is a re-launch when you can\'t buy the system? As for the games that came out. Big deal. Games like that should be coming out all the time, not every few months like they are doing now.
