Title: questions about Tribes 2

i am planning on buying Tribes 2 tomorrow, does anyone already have it ? well here are the questions:

1. if i have a generic video card will there be a grip of slowdown?? i own Rogue spear, and Unreal tournament, and halflife, there is hardly ever any slowdown when i play them online or single.

2. i have a 56k modem "ugh" i was wondering if this will hurt my on-line play, like i said before i have to trouble when i play the games i named above online.

3. is 40 bucks worth this game?

4. for people who own this, is it a great game? rate it from 1-10

5.should i change my title from Psx2c staff to " the forum drunk"?  :)

ok well i hope someone can shed some light ont his subject, and for those of you who do own it and play on-line, can we team up or play together?

I thought the game was $80.. guess I was wrong it looks really good though if I had a better comp I would buy it....

And yes "The Forum Drunk" is funny.

                                                                                              9/10 great game. 56k will hurt it has huge maps and up to 100 players on some maps. How much onboard memory on your card? 32mb is fine. How fast is your cpu? Ram? My handle is the Travelingmurderer. I pride myself in piloting the bomber, shrike flyer and the transport. I use light armor and sometimes go with medium. I also use a sat connection.(AOL uggg). It works for me. This game is much more fun than UT.

i have a 633 MHZ hewlette packard, 128 MB, and i was going to get a vodoo 3 but i decided not to, what is an affordable video card ?

Right you can get a Geforce2 MX 64mb  for 149 dollars. Thats AGP, however a PCI card 32mb onboard of the same is going for 99 dollars. Dont be afraid of PCI with that 633 and 128mb ram you should have no framerate woes. What out for my spinfuser.
