Hi,
I just want to know your opinion(s) on what is the best fighting game on PS2...I\'ve seen Tekan Tag, DOA2, Streefighter EX3, and some odd looking Jappanese Kung-Fu fighting games..
I like a good story mode with lots of things to unlock, and an even better 2 player mode. Also, I like to become a "master" at my fav. character, so no one can beat me!!
-
Has To be DOA2 for Lei Fang and here black little number errrrrmmmmmmm..................
sorry got carried away there .
Nope TTT wins, what with its ease of play and lovely bonus game Tekken Bowl :D.
-
I like DoA2 and Kengo the most atm.
-
TTT. It has the deepest fighting engine, and the characters are more balanced than in DOA2. Also, it\'s involves more than just counter, counter, fake, counter, high hit, low hit, low hit, high hit, etc, unlike in DOA2.
DOA2 has better graphics, interactive environments, and the tag team is better than in TTT. But I still think that if you are looking for a really fun fighting game that takes skill to master, and also a fighting game that has more than 10 characters, TTT is the winner.

But wouldn\'t you say your a little biased? :D

DOA2......................... It rulz!
-
I used to be biased against DOA2 before I even played it because I loved Tekken so much. But then I got it, and I had a lot of fun with it. Just because I like TTT more doesn\'t mean I don\'t like DOA2, and it definately doesn\'t mean I\'m biased. I still play DOA2 and TTT all the time. I love fighting games.

I played so many fighting games in my time..each one is unquie in its own special way. To street fighter..and its many clones like world heros. To Goryness of MK to the crazy combos of Killer Instinct. I loved every fighting game I got attached to. So I can\'t say whats my favorite

The best fighting game I have played: Soul Calibur. I love every aspect of it, from the cool weapons to the oh-so-good looking male fighters.
The best fighting game I own: Soul Blade. Many years old, still looks fine and is great fun.
Well well. Looks like it said best fighters on PS2. Let\'s say.... TTT
-
Tekken Tag wins hands down, but that is only because I hate DOA2 and I don\'t consider the EX series really STreet Fighter..
;)
-
I dont know why any of you guys like DOA2 im not starting a fight i just thought the game was to easy and its annoying alot of times i like TTT alot more
-
Without a doubt TTT is the game! :D

HAHAHAH LOL.....Are your talking about TTT. It takes no skills to master TTT. It is all button smashing. And all the characters have the same moves sense the begging on tekken. Tekken is a good game, but with every new one nothing changes. I wish the character could learn just a couple of new moves. And every tekken looks the same.
I would pick soul calibur and virtua fighter2.
-
I think TTT. But soon we can see SC2 and Tekken 4 ;)
-
Street Fighter Alpha 3 is my all-time favourite fighting game - okay, so it\'s not a PS2 game but you can still play it on your PS2!
As for strictly PS2 games, I would say I like DOA2:Hardcore mainly because I\'m not that great at Tekken, and I like DOA\'s easy to use countering system.

Doa3 its Xbox exclusive.he.....hehe.....hehe. like in the excorcist.

LOL XBOX. Maybe you should go play TTT before you say something as stupid as that. That was one of the most ignorant things I\'ve ever heard you say.

LoL I already own TTT and p if you like repetitive modes and continues fighting styles TTT is your game. As for me which this is my opinon which I can have frankly just because you feel TTT is superior does not mean I have too. I choose games that I like for what I like them for and I simply gave you my opinion on how Tekken has evolved from the first one and anyone who has played the series from the begging can see that. And just because I think it has gotten old does not mean you have too. So at least hear someone out before just jumping to conclusion.

But I too have played it since the beggining, and I think it has evolved a lot. Remember in the first one how the main characters and the sub-bosses had the same moves. Now they are completely different people and most of them have completely different moves and fighting styles. I guess it is just a matter of oppinion though.

True that they have evolved from the first one I will admit that. I guess I was just so pissed that TTT was just so much like tekken 2-3 I wanted it to be different. And I am not saying that it is a bad game I just like virtua fighter 2 and soulcalibur 2 a little better. It is just not my best fighting. So I respect your opinion and call a truce:D

A lot of people seem to forget that TTT wasn\'t meant to be the next game in the series.
I think they made TTT for a couple of reasons:
Reason #1: To let everyone play as their favorites players and play on the classic Tekken arenas (without background interactivity) one last time before they are gone from the Tekken series forever. Tekken 4 will probably get rid of a lot of the classic players, and will get a lot of new players along with a slightly different style of gameplay (interactive backgrounds). They did give everyone a lot of new moves in TTT (especially the characters from T2), but just enough to balance out the gameplay. That is why I love Tekken so much. The characters are the most balanced out of any fighting game IMO.
Reason #2: To buy them some time so they could wait for hardware that can handle what they are planning for Tekken 4. And also so they could test out the PS2 and get experience on it before they try doing something as advanced as T4 is going to be (I\'m hoping at least :)).
Oh, and yes. It\'s a truce. I like Soul Calibur too, and I can\'t wait for SC2. I have never been a VF fan, but I am planning on getting VF4 because I love fighting games. :)
