I\'ve been playing it on my free demo disk I got in the mail....... I might have to get SSX. For people who have the game..... Is there anything bad about the game?
-
I like it a great deal. The only problem that I can really think of with it is that it becomes too challenging too fast, but it was a worthy buy for me nonetheless.

Not really.

The demo doesn\'t do it justice. Buy the full version immediately!

The only problem is that it\'s not four players. :(

I played the demo on the Winter 2001 edition of the Playstation Underground CD magzine....One boarder always blasts past me right at the end right before the demo is done, so i end up in second!!!!! I usually get a little past the fork in the track.............

IMO SSX is flawless. :D i got it on launch day and i\'m still playing it till this day...

I got an idea................ What is the name of you favorite move? Mine is Flying Squrrel (however you spell that furry animal that I love shooting)....
-
The texture quality is occasionally quite horrible... but who gives a *bleep*, the game farkin\' rocks! I still play it occasionally for a quick rush. A definite classic in my books.
A favourite trick... er, I really can\'t think of one. One cool move is with and Alpine board where Hiro spreads his hands and tries flying like an aeroplane (just checked the trick name, Cross THE ROAD Air). I hate alpine boards, but the trick is cool.

Definitely SSX has proved to be one of the best games in my PS2 library. It was the 1st game I cracked open when I got PS2 back in October.
If you\'ve liked the responses of other members here & think you\'ll actually get it, the only thing I might caution you on is the fact that EA Canada is re-tooling SSX with a DVD version that should be out this fall.
...from a news spot on ultraps2 back in February:
With the suprising sleeper hit (well not that much of a sleeper hit) SSX by EA Sports Big, they have just announced...:
SSX: DVD - It is being described as not a \'true\' sequel, but an improvement over the original. How can they improve on such a wonderful game, you ask? They plan to include a better feeling of competetion between the competitors, rivalries galore. In the original, before the race, the characters would just wave hands at each other. EA Sports Big has not descirbed how this feature will work into the game, so we will just have to wait and see. Look for this title come fall.

Whadya mean the texture quality is horrible. You\'re wrong. To me this game looks and plays très fantastique. I don\'t have it but I\'ve played it a lot. I\'d buy it if I had the money. And I don\'t even like racing.
Some people keep talking about a slowdown or whatever.... I\'ve never seen anything like that in SSX. In fact the only thing that bothers me in SSX is Elise. My god how I hate her. I hate her stupid voice. Most of all this line; Oh I AM perfect! Yuck. Ban her.

yeah, it´s a great game! and welcome friend to the forums ;)

The only thing for me is,there aren\'t enough levels. All the Japaneese levels suck and the rest get old after about 5000 times (not before ;)),other wise the game is perfect.

I love SSX!!! It\'s wicked.
