Title: RoR bust or best??

Ive been thinking of buying RoR(Ring of Red) but I have heard mixed reviews lately.  Blockbuster doesnt carry it so I cant rent it.  What do you guys think?

If I was you,  rent it first.  Someone post that he got this game and it was a very bad game.  Wait on this one.  Maybe get Commandos 2 when it\'s out.  :D

I really liked the game, but there are persons here you hate it.

If you ever played Squares Front Mission and liked it you\'ll love RoR.

The game is decent, I\'d give it an 8 outta 10, it can be monotonous but still remained addicting to me.

50 + hours of gameplay is no lie either.

I have a hard tome telling you to get this game simply because it does not appeal to everyone and I wouldn\'t want you to get stuck with it if you deide you don\'t like it.

If you  can pick it up and return the game then go that route.

Just make sure you give the game 5 missions or so before you place  a final judgement on it does start off a little slow

i guess you cant read he said his local place blockbuster doesnt have it to rent

There are other places to rent games than just blockbuster.

Im from pickerington also and no there isnt any other so maybe u should think before you talk

And i made sure to say local place to show that was the one in our area

SO let me get this straight, one person on this board says its a bad game, about 3 to 5 of us  here played it and like it  alot

If you dig strategy games then go for it. (Vandal Hearts / Kartia / Final Fantasy Tactics / Etc) ...

Just make sure you have the time to invest into it.. some battles can be looong. ;)

Ddaryl, I\'m very sorry for saying that, but it might be a good game?  :D  Ddaryl, I got the screens on the Commando 2 for PC, PS2 and Dreamcast.  Go to my Commando 2 post.

Thanks Ddaryl and datamage for  the advice, for the others, find another place for you little war although bozco is right with the fact there is no other places to rent games in the area.

by the way Front mission 3 and FFT are probably my two favorite psx games ive played

I rented it, but I didn\'t get that far into it.  It was pretty fun, but I think it is a little too long.  If I can\'t finish a non RPG game in less than 40 hours, I usually get pretty bored with them.

On a side note, I rented syphon filter yesterday.  That game is possibly the worst I\'ve seen/played on PS2 to date.

I thought RoR was amazing.
The ending was very crappy , and Nintendo, but the game itself is amazing.
I wasnt playing for the ending, I was playing cause the game is challenging.

Ring of Red is a pretty good game.  If you\'re not planning on buying any other PS2 games for a while, then I\'d recommend it to keep you occupied.

but anyway - ROR is a cool game although i have had no time to play it lately and i am on the 7th Mission

boy this game is cool though
