Title: Which one??
Post by: Cronus on April 17, 2001, 07:41:43 PM
Considering buying one of these games... (MAYBE 2..)

   Onimusha

   Z.O.E.   (partially for MGS2 Demo...)

   The Bouncer

   ATV: Offroad Fury

   Shadow Of Destiny

any advice on this? Fun factor? Long-livity? Overall lasting appeal, etc?  Onimusha is great, but will the fun last? etc etc

       Thanks :)

I would get Z.O.E., because I love the fast and furious gameplay - even if it gets a little repetitive - and I love the great graphics + the MGS2 demo is jaw-dropping in terms of gameplay and graphics.

I wouldn\'t get The Bouncer, as it is really short ( well, I haven\'t played it but ) - and it gets repetitive as you go trough it again and again. Only interactive movie they say.

Everyone else seems to tell me Z.O.E. sucks.. and it got reviews of 7/10 everywhere at best...

I tried it only for a moment.. seemed \'okay\' but i didnt have much time with it..

if it matters... i do like anime... including evangilion, escaflowne, etc...

is Z.O.E. the type of game i will enjoy going back to play again and again?

Get both ZOE/MGS2 demo and Onimusha

ZOE can be repetitive but the boss battles are a blast

Onimusha is good fun

Deffinetly rent ATV ofroad fury and play the hell out of it

I haven\'t yet played Onimusha, but I think ATV is one of the best games on the PS2, and I like it a bit better than ZOE (just because of ZOE\'s length). It has a lot of game modes, and two-player mode is brilliant.

yea but if you are gonna buy MGS2 demo for 30 bucks plus shipping and handling then you might as well buy ZOE - hey its like getting a cool game for 20 bucks as far as if you want the MGS2 demo that much

Of all those, I only bought ZOE, and it was worth it.  I\'m a HUGE anime fan... lotsa movies, and games.  It\'s pretty good (though the voice acting could be a bit better in english, sigh...).  Onimusha was good too, but I didn\'t buy it after finishing it on a 6 day rental.  I find myself going back to ZOE on harder difficulty levels, and trying to get past each stage with 4 As on my report card (damn hard game).  I also find myself spending hours just exporing the MSG2 demo, and trying to find new cool ways to interact with everything/everyone.

what about Onimusha? Any good replay value in this game or \'lasting appeal\'?

Well of all the games mentioned, I prefer Onimusha. It may be short, but the time that it lasted was a blast. Long game doesn\'t = good game. :) Some games can be too long.
