Title: Blury image?

Anyone notice their PS2 producing a blury image, mainly only noticably on small text...? It may be my TV, though I doubt it because my TV is brand new and I\'m using S-Video as well...

   Anyway, I notice in NHL 2001 that it\'s hard to read some of the text in the options menus, and even moreso, i rented the movie GATACA the other day and i could barely read the 2 opening phrases in the begining of the movie. (small white text on black background)

     Ive noticed it on a few other occasions too.. anyone else...? I also haven\'t seen the outlining function help much for the problem.. or the DNR thing...

     (one more quick note.. why does the PS2 search so slowly on DVD\'s?! it takes forever if you want to fast forward to a certain spot within a chapter... hopefully they will fix this with new drivers someday...?)

You probably need to adjust the settings on your tv.  Some dvds, most THX certified, have an optimode where it helps you optimize your tv.

Most TVs have a sharpness setting.  Especially the more modern ones.  My (not super modern) TV has both sharpness and motion blur settings, just check your TV\'s settings, if you can\'t do enough with the sharpness, then maybe you need a bigger TV (text is fine for me, on a, I believe, 29 inch TV)...

I\'ve been insane anuf to hook it up to an old projecter. It works perfect on my 10 foot wall. No blurring what so ever. Then agian I havn\'t done that in about a mounth or two. I think the last time was around ground hogs day.

Are there anything wrong with your eyes, is there other blurry things around you?

Maybe he\'s living in a semi-transparent bubble or something? I don\'t see any annoying blurring, except with old PSX games when the texture smoothing feature is switched on.
