Come on, let\'s have a debate. Why don\'t you like Xbox (this of course only applies to those who doesn\'t like the Xbox :D)?
IMO most people don\'t really have a good reason for not liking Xbox. Perhaps they don\'t like it because they like PS2 (and God forbid you like anything else then...), they don\'t have money for more than one console (but still more choices and competition is a good thing).
So, gimme your reasons. I don\'t really see what is so "hateable" about it. It seems it\'ll be quite a kick-@ss system with lots of good and beautiful games. And the technology is nicely put together to make a very powerful, yet easy to develop for system. And hating Bill Gates isn\'t really the best reason to hate Xbox itself. ;)

Halo and mgsx will be worth xbox :)

I dont hate the X-BOX by how can you say Halo and mgsx will be worth it when you havent played either
they havent even released the details about what kind of game this really is

no info about halo lol, have you even seen the gameplay movies it looks awesome and very fun Driving + shooting = great fun and any MGS game will be worth a console for me! ;)
trust me xbox will do great !

I just do not like Microcrap.. The companies practices suck ass, and most products that they produce suck ass...
So its not the X-baux, its the company behind it...

yeah kirath microcrap isnt really microcrap, its one of the richest companies so you really cant say all the products suck cause then they wouldnt be where there in the first place then

Well, this can be said about everything then. You haven\'t played the final version of MGS2, GT3, FFX, Devil May Cry etc. But somehow you know those titles will be great - of course you can be wrong sometimes (Bouncer anyone?), but still.... Halo and MGSX will rule.

I only think MGS 2 and GT3 are great out of those and thats because ive played the demo for MGS2 so i know its going to be good and i played the previous GT game so i know its going to be good
I have never said the others are great

I Don;t hate the Xbox but i wont be buying one, well not until i see games that i realy like.
Heck if it comes down to it ill get one for Metal Gear X but not until is see whats it is like and if it will be any better than MGS2 (please don\'t flame me).

Agreed for a general speech...but GT3 is here(two weeks to go) and some people have played it ! I\'m playing MGS2 demo and I\'m sure the final product will be FAR better! MGSX? ...well...yes...the game will be Great(Kojima on the X-Box) but people know nothing about this game so it\'s not the same when you speak of a finished game(GT3)...or an almost finished game(FFX,Devil May Cry) or a never-seen Game(MGSX)!

However I want to answer your question....I have nothing against X-Box...how could I...it\'s only a Console,a piece of plastic:)...I dislike Microsoft and Bill Gates for some of his dirty tricks...only this...no further words...
I\'m interested on the X-Box and I really hope to see Great exclusive games like a New Doom,or a New FPS by ID or an exclusive GP4 or a New ultra realistic Falcon 4....don\'t get me wrong...I\'ll buy the X-Box because I\'m a gamer and I want each console with Great Games!
...only and simply....I dislike the X-Trolls :D:D:D

I agree that MGS2 and GT3 perhaps weren\'t the best examples, but they were just that - examples. I\'m sure Halo and MGSX will be great games (come on, Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear Solid, Xbox power? How can it not be great?). Sometimes you just know it... :)
And I don\'t think it\'s fair when people diss MGSX. Yes, we don\'t know exactly what it\'ll be like yet, but it IS Metal Gear Solid on Xbox! It WILL be great either way! I for one will get my dirty hands on anything MGS - the console it\'s on doesn\'t matter (but being on a powerful console doesn\'t hurt either ;)).

I hate the x-box!! I really do.
I dont like MS entering this world. I hate them for making me reboot my computer 2-3 times each day.
I hate the x-box because I belive its a step back.
I belive that the future should have computers with not much ram, because the bandwith will be so great that you just stream the info thrugh the computer. You will not need to store info, just a little.
I belive that the PS2 is one step closer to this, the x-box isnt.
I love new technology, the PS2 is that, the x-box isnt.
The Nvidia geforce thing is a fine piece of hardware, but not revolutionary, soon it will be forgotten.
They did test with the Geforce 3 vs The geforce 2.
the geforce 3 is optimized to work in resolution 1600x1200, in this resolution the card is unbeliveble much better than the Geforce 2. The geforce 2 is optimized for 800x600 in resolution, the GF2 is better than the GF3 at 800x600.(QIII, UT)
And I dont like the idea of putting PC hardware into a console.

Only thing I hate about X-box is the price and the design - it\'s way too pricy for me [ so forth I will not get an opportunity to buy it in a the next few years :( ], and the design, IMO, sucks major @ss.
I would buy it - definetely - if I win in lottery. :)

Bossieman.... Well that hate is too deep for me. I can\'t do anything about other than say it\'s a shame, and that you\'ll surely miss out on some great games. But to each his own.

i dont "hate" any console, but two reasons why bill is gonna lose alot of money on this one
-its still vaporware
-its gonna be hella expensive

does anyone else agree with me that xbox will follow the the same road as 3DO? if i wanted to play computer games, i\'ll get a computer. judging from the current crop of games being demoed for xbox, they all look like ps2 knockoffs. halo was great when it was demoed at Macworld years ago, like oni, it faded fast after time.

But really,I\'m a multi console guy for those who don\'t know.know X-Boxe\'s limitations and it\'s advantiges,same goes for the PS.2.
Not sure if I\'ll buy a box or a Cube,or if I\'ll buy either of\'em.

There is that price issue again. If the PS2 was affordable in your minds then the Xbox will be as well.

I agree. If you could afford a PS2 surely you\'ll be able to get an Xbox. And perhaps it\'s vaporware... But so was PS2 until late November 2000 (or March 2000 in Japan). I hardly think MS and J. Allard hypes something that won\'t be released. I guess we won\'t see GC either then...

Bossieman has nailed it for me. PS2 represents the future, Xbox is an attempt to reach for the maximum possible using the old PC architecture. Offering a promise of the box being 3x more powerful than PS2... okay, maybe. Three times more fantastic than what PS2 is showing now? No way, not even close.
Right or wrong, I think most everyone sees the dislike for the xbox as spillover hatred for MS. With its closed OS maintaining a stranglehold on any real competition, MS gathered mega wealth and major resentment by selling licences and upgrades for a buggy operating system they alone are allowed to tweak at the roots. In effect holding the industry back more than moving it forward.
So Billy boy decides to enter and dominate a playground with a level field. Does it surprise or dismay anyone that many of us chillies expect to see him leave with his pants down around his ankles?
